Well, it's midweek for me (I weigh in on Wed evenings) and so far I have stuck to it 100% :T I've diligently tracked everything I put in my mouth (yup, even the 1/2 bag of licorice I munched at the computer before I'd even had brekkie/brunch this morning  ) and have stuck to points. Hopefully I'll stick to it for the rest of the week and see a result!

How's everyone else doing with their 'one small thing'?

I'm starting my tracking tomorrow lightisfading - but I haven't gone overboard today so the rest of the week should (hopefully!) go well - so another good weight loss on Saturday/Sunday next week! :D

Can I start over again on this today?
Last 3 days of last week was constant meetings and out to lunch with the work visitors. Managed OK on calories but couldn't do the stretching excercises 4 times a day like I should. That's my "little thing" adding some strengthening excercises using a Physio band to my routine. It helps with the fat loss even though the main purpose of doing it for for RSI treatment.
  • Guys & Gals - need some advise please:(.....

Im not loosing any more weight! From the start of june til now i've lost 1st 3.3lbs which im totally fine with but last week I stayed the same and I think it will be the same this week too. The annoying thing is that im trying so so soooo hard. For example yesterday stuck to my points, ate 10 (lol) of my 5 a day, drank approx 1.5l water and done 30 mins exercise. Due to the fact I STS last week im doing the ww "wendie plan" this week which is basically the points plan rejigged a bit and is supposed to boost the metab. So really my question is can you keep losing weight after you plateuo? Right now im still well into the obese category so its now as if Im near target. I still have another 4ish stone to lose:(

God I've waffled on a bit lol

Take a look at June on my signature, only 1lb lost. I was on holiday having a pint of beer a day, other than that I was on track with calories and doing more activity anyway. Pretty sure it was a plateaux and I'm sure I've hit another one now. It's seems to happen at weights I sat at for a long period as my weight was going up.
Try relaxing a bit on the calorie in take for a week, eat a little more so you don't feel hungry, let your body destress a bit. After that get back to it and do somthing different in terms of excercise. I started doing some stretching excercises 3-4 time a day as said earlier at the start of July. In one of the links below someone starts cycling taking their dog for a walk.
Just need to keep faith that you will get throught it, it is a normal part of this process and it will happen again to you with 4st more to loose and you will get through it again.. and again.

    Try these:

I had a slightly indulgent weekend - went to stay in a fabulous b&b in N.Yorkshire and had cereal and fruit, toast and a cooked breakfast both mornings but it filled me up so much that I had no lunch so I'm hoping that's sort of balanced it out a bit. Also did lots of walking so that might have helped to burn off some of the calories. It was lovely to think "sod it" and tuck into a big plate of food for once though :o

My challenge for the week is to get out of the office at lunchtimes and walk. Nevermind the weather, it won't hurt me to get wet. I'm lucky enough to work somewhere with gorgeous grounds, gardens and woodlands and it's just a combination of laziness and stress that keeps me at my desk over lunch. So starting today, lunch, then a walk!
  • 2 lbs off this week! :j :j :D

Had a busy day - picked up my new specs from the opticians, exchanged some shorts for OH and bought some last minute bits n bobs for holiday, and food shopped. I must have walked about 3 miles so that will count as my exercise for today. ;)

I'm not at work til 4pm, so might manage to squeeze some other exercise in as well.

    Love n hugs to all

    Hi everyone
I'm back from 2 1/2 weeks away & I've put on about 5lbs so it's back on track from today. I'm hoping because it went on fast it'll come off just as fast. :D

    Today I've had;

Breakfast. Porridge - made with 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup soya milk, 1/2 cup water & sweetened with Splenda & a spoon of sugar free jam.

Snack. A few tiny plums from my garden (they're about the size of a cherry), 4 almonds & 4 hazlenuts.

Lunch. Tuna mayo & salad with 2 wholegrain rice cakes.

Snack. A HM muffin from a recipe in the GI diet book. They're very high fibre, low fat & no sugar & help me to feel I'm having a treat.

Dinner. Mixed seafood in a HM tomato sauce with cauli & green beans.

Drinks. Water, black tea & black coffee.

I'm not intending to eat anything else today but may have a low cal hot chocolate later on.

Exercise has been a brisk walk in my lunch break & lots of stair climbing at work.

That's a fairly typical dieting day for me, it's a sort of GI/moderate carb combo that's worked for me before.

Anyway, I'll weigh in again next Monday & hope to show a nice loss. All I have to do is resist the wine, chocolate, cake, sweets etc etc. ;)
  • Hi guys, first time I've come to this thread. I've only got 7lbs or so to lose (the same 7lb I've wanted off for years) to get to a weight I'd be confident in and another 7lb for my super dooper wear whatever I want weight. But because I've never managed it I thought I'd write it down so I have more motivation to do it!

    Hi Aileen.
That's exactly where I am with my weight. If I lose 7lbs I can get into my clothes & feel OK. If I lose the other 7lbs I feel at my absolute best.

I'm going on holiday to Scotland in 10 weeks & although it's not going to be beach weather there's a pool at the house we're staying in so I want to feel comfortable in my cossie.

My target is therefore to lose 14 lbs in 10 weeks although my birthday falls in the middle so that'll be a challenge. :D
