Hi everyone
Food today;
B. Porridge
Snack. Baby plums, few almonds & hazlenuts
L. Prawn salad, mayo & 2 rice cakes
Snack. GI diet muffin
D. HM veggie burger, cauli & green beans.
Drinks, water, black tea & black coffee. Later a low cal hot choc.
Exercise. Brisk walk in my lunch break & lots of stairs at work.
I'm not as lucky as you Alexnikov. My walk is round the city but I'm moving offices soon & I'm hoping I'll find somewhere prettier to keep me motivated. Unfortunately, I'll then be working in a building with only 2 floors, at the moment we have 12 so I do LOTS of stair climbing. I'll have to think of something else to do to make up for it.
Early days but so far so good.0 -
Oh, Good grief,
Had a bad day.
Ended up having 5 cups of tea, a packet of salt n vinegar discos, a can of cream soda and a whole 650g pack of skinless chicken breast grilled with a punnet of cherry tomatoes and 3tblsp of chilli sauce. That is so gross.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Odd day today, not great foodwise but I don't think it is a disaster...Overslept (off work, doing the Edinburgh Festival, so late nights) so just went straight into lunch, lean meat burger and salad. Dinner was 2/3 of a pizza in Bella Italia because we were out but I am justifying it as we walked for hours and hours before and after. That's it. Going out to another show now, will have to resist the lure of all the lovely food stalls...0

PS Dobie, good luck to you, I presume that's an indoor swimming pool
Good going with the porridge, best breakfast (and tea on lazy days) in the world! Amazing with a chopped up pear if you have any.

Yes Aileen, it is an indoor pool although the house is on the shores of a sea loch so if I was COMPLETELY mad I could swim in that.
Lucky you being at the Edinburgh festival, although I'm not sure I have enough stamina for the late nights any more.
I love my porridge too & I agree chopped up fruit is also good. I find I go through phases with what I fancy in it & at the moment it's sugar free marmalade. Sounds a bit weird but it's really yum.0 -
Anyone like to try the "Chinese Diet"
you can eat as much as you want as long as you only use one chopstick.0 -
10st 10lbs weigh in last night, only 2 lbs down from the start of the month but not far to go.
Wearing my 34 inch waist black Levi 501's for the first time in about 13 years today :j
Suddenly one of the most comforable pairs of trousers I have, the other 36 inchers fall off me and all my belts are too big
7 months of calorie counting preceded by a year or more of feeble efforts at cutting food intake. Calorie counting made the difference.
I'm getting bored with weetabix for breakfast, I love porridge, must get some porridge again.0 -
This may seem like a very dim question but can anyone recommend low-cal soft drinks that are available in pubs? Football season has started again and I go to the pub to watch quite a few of the matches. If I'm driving (which I usually am) I just stick with lemonade and pre-healthy eating I never really thought about the sugar/cal content.
Seems like I'm stuck with diet coke now though and I really don't like itSo is my only other option water? Again, sorry if I sound dim for asking but I've never really thought about it before!

Soda water (although I order sparkling as it is twice the size of the tiddly soda bottles)
Tomato juice
Tonic water
Small dash of cordial with tap water/sparkling water
