got mine on 26th and sent it straight back, only hiccup i had was that my payment didn't go into bank on thursday as it usually does.
when i phone dthem they said that i was being paid on the friday for this week because the review form had been sent back and wil go back to thursdays from next week again,
not too bad though ended up £3 a week better off from it

fatbloke do you get a lot of graduates saying they don't understand the forms? :rotfl:

husband and i are both graduates. he took one of our award notices into the accounts department at work but they couldn't work it out either!

not many but it seems if someone has a degree they will tell you that and that they dont understand the forms. its a similar to old people telling you how old they are without you actually asking them.

  • Hi, got my renewal last week put my annual earnings down from my P60 but I also get childcare vouchers from work. When I looked at the notes accompanying the renewal notice it says you should ignore the value of childcare vouchers, can someone confirm this, I don't think it can be right as my salary now appears to be quite a bit less than I what said it would be. I've called twice but can't get through and like everyone else am concerned about the possibility of being overpaid and having to pay it back, thanks

You declare your reduced income but it means that you cant claim the childcare elementy of the tax credits.

If your incomes less than you originally told them you wont get overpaid, you'll possibly get underpaid. (unless your currently claiming childcare help through tax credits, then you may have an overpayment)
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.
  • Reading this lot I feel a bit less hysterical - knowing that there are others blundering round the maze is somewhat comforting....sort of.

The CTC think we owe them money (which we haven't been paid) and I'm not sure if we're going to get any form (that we actually want) but we may well get multiple letters (aiming for a new best of over 4 for me and 4 for OH)

    *sigh*

husband and i each got 16 letters last year! no changes of circumstances or anything like that and we only claim the family elemnt so it's not difficult to work out how much we're entitled to. it's very odd, i hope they're planting trees to make up for all the booklets they include with each letter!

i think they only sent one form out this time though, and we both had to sign it. that will make things a lot easier.

Did my forms over the phone as nothing had changed since last year. Just had to give my p60 details.

Filled ours in using total earning figure from P60 (which is actually less than the actually annual salary figure???) and sent back. Just wait and see how much we have been overpiad again I suppose.
