No and I'm dreading it. Last year they got the information I had given them wrong - again. By the time we had finished I had no less than 24 envelopes stuffed with leaflets and mostly incorrect information. Every time I phoned them to say it was still wrong it seemed to trigger another 3 envelopes for me and 3 for hubby!
Bloody huge waste of the taxpayers money. Still paying back an overpayment from the first year - which was entirely down to them. Despite me sending them change of circumstance information IN ADVANCE they still paid me too much. I had my son on 20th June and on that date I gave them the information about our current earnings and informed them that I would be starting a new job on 1st September and told them the salary (hubby stayed at home with DS). But still they based our award on our current income of just some materity benefit
I feel so sorry for people who rely on this money. Its damned hard to understand the award, fill in the forms, phone the "helpline". I'm a qualified postgraduate and I find it hard - my hubby would end up not bothering its no wonder some people leave their award unclaimed. I guess the government benefit in the end by making it hard.
I urge anyone who has not been able to face filling in the forms to go and ask the CAB for advice and help - its your money don't let the government keep it.The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -
No nothing here yet either.
Know what you mean about dreading it too. I know they'll have c****d something up and I'll spend months banging my head against a brick wall trying to sort it out - absolute shambles every time!!!0 -
i know im dredding it as well.
they made a right mess of ours in 2004 the year our third child was born , born 7th april. they had us down as having two new children being born both named zoey, but i only gave birth to one zoey that year , then when they sorted that out. they started to give us duplicate payments. that took some sorting out. 2004 was a terrible year for when it came to child tax credit.
though in 2005 i did give birth to our new addition felicity in november 2005 , so now we do have 4 children.
i am dredding this year's award.
i keep watching out for the post for the annual review letter and provisional award.

I had occasion to contact the IR yesterday and i enquired about the tax credit paperwork while i was speaking to them, to be informed that they are being sent out in batches at the moment.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

First batch of Declarations have started to be sent out beginning of this week.
They will all be sent out over the next couple of months.
They need to be completed by 31 Aug, with either actual or estimated income.0 -
Still waiting for mine, although i might ring them, as i have noticed that my payment has gone down (only 21p per week) but its still gone down, and my circumstances havnt changed at all. Thought Mr Brown had made a big hoohaa about increasing CTC/WTC this year!!!!!0

waiting for mine and dreading it too!!
i had my second daughter on april 15th last year....they kept on sending paperwork etc saying i had 3 children rather than two-they had the baby down as twins!!!(same name just had her down twice!!!)...i kept sending the forms back corrected, ringing the helpline, using the online facilities and virtually begged them to not pay me anymore as i only had two children not 3.
despite it being their mistake the outcome was i had to take my childrens birth certificates down to the local tax office to prove i only had two children......i mean !!!!!!...you could understand it if i was trying to claim i had more but i was telling them they were paying me too much for gods sake!!!0 -
Just called them. My payments have gone downa couple of pence and they tell me the reason is that they are paying "provisional" payments until I give them my actual income for last year.
I had problems applying for a sure start maternity grant. Apparently JC+ had different information from HMRC. According to JC+ I wasn't eligible, but my award from HMRC said I was. I had to send all my HMRC paper work to them, onyl for them to call me and say that HMRCs systems are currently being updated and have to wait till they finish.
I'm sick of having to ring them to say they are wrong. I know the system better than they do!Giving up is easy...... just keep on trying!0
