I got my renewal form on Saturday, and I know what's going to come next. Yet another demand for £4000 for over payment for 2004/2005. Apparently I told them on more than one occasion I didn't have 2 kids  that they even have proof in writing as I signed a declaration (would love too see this as I've always renewed either online or on the phone lol) saying I had no children. Where the heck my kids disappeared for a year I would love to know, because my food was still being eaten, their clothes still getting dirty and the house still being covered with toys and kid junk!
I've appealed and written a letter of complaint and it all went fairly quiet since last Nov, but now it's all going to start up again no doubt :mad:0 -

Good Luck to the rest of you
I notice you posted earlier, and your circumstances seemed the same as mine, does that mean that my payments might be going up once i get my review? I know i sent all my forms back last time they asked for them, and my cicumstances havnt changed either!!!!0 -

Hi All
I haven't got my forms through either - unless they are on my mat ATM.
I have given up with them as they NEVER get it right and are contiunually sendig out the forms with the wrong info on them and yes I get three copies and so does HWTHMBO. He has a large pile on his desk and is waiting to see how many he can get in one year.
I like the idea of going to your tax office, and talking to a human being. instead of the not quite humans in Liverpool/Preston. Do you just go to your local one or the one for your work? My work one is in Edinburgh, so I guess I won't be going there sometime soon. Unless Stelios has a 1p flight deal.just in case you need to know:

Still paying back an overpayment from the first year - which was entirely down to them. Despite me sending them change of circumstance information IN ADVANCE they still paid me too much.
the only changes we can update in advance is child care and only then within 7 days of the details actually occurring. any other changes would not get acted on.Its damned hard to understand the award, fill in the forms, phone the "helpline". I'm a qualified postgraduate and I find it hard...
i always find this comment humerous.Mines just arrived! What a nightmare
why?????as i have noticed that my payment has gone down (only 21p per week) but its still gone down,Mine has gone down too and my circumstances are exactally the same as they have been for the last 3 years.
you may find that the award amount is exactly the same for 05-06 and 06-07, but htere may be more "paydates" in which to pay you the award.
i.e 52 last year and 53 this year...not as strange as it may seem... in 04-05 tax year there were 53 tuesdays compared to 52 in the year before so for people who were paid on tuesday they had one more payment in 04-05 than the previous year but still got the end figure in full. ie. £5000 award divided by 52 = £96.15pw, £5000 award divided by 53 = £94.33pw.I phoned tax credits last week, and they said oh yes the forms being sent out very soon, but your circumstances havent changed that much, so your payments only slightly changed. i was gobsmacked, I thought that it would increase immediately. Whats going on?
i suggest they are still using the income figure you may have earned from april05-sept in this years award. until it is updated with a new current year estimate (what you think you will earn from april 06-07) this will remain the case.fatblokexl:EasterBun:0
