this is what i sent this morning that was def recieved and read:

    Dear Sir/Madam.

I am writing to you today in order to ascertain the reasons behind money beingtaken from my
debit card by Rewardsnow.co.ukwithout my permission.

    I have never heard of
Rewardsnow.co.ukand have at no point enrolled with your company. Therefore, I wish to requestyour evidence of any enrollment which you consider to be legally valid.

Please be aware that legally valid evidence does not consist of vague templateemails or any copies of non specific documentation devoid of the name of theaddressee or membership/reference numbers. I wish to see all documentationreferring to this "membership" and reserve the right to issue yourcompany with a Subject Access Request if you fail to do so.

It is essential that you are aware that I will begin legal proceedings againstyour company unless you provide legally binding evidence of any enrollmentwhich you believe has given you the right to withdraw money from my
    debitcard without my express permission.

I also request an immediate full refund of £
219.45 to meby cheque for the 11 payments illegally taken as well as confirmation ofcancellation of any "account" held in my name. Furthermore, I requesta full written apology and your assurances that there will be no furtherwithdrawals at any point in the future.

Please provide me with full details of your official complaints procedure as Iwish to begin the process of escalating this matter to the authorities whichregulate your industry. I will ultimately be providing the Office of FairTrading and the Financial Ombudsman with details of your handling of mycomplaint which may result in action being taken against your company. I wishto state that it will not suffice if you deal with this request by simplysupplying an address to which I should direct my complaint. I am within myrights to request a copy of your official complaints procedure and thereforeexpect you to deal with my request appropriately.

Failure to adhere to any of the above requests (which are all perfectlylegitimate) will be recorded and provided to the relevant authorities in duecourse along with copies of all correspondence between myself and you company.

I believe it is reasonable to expect your response within 48 hours.

    Sincerely

Would you kindly point me in the direction of your factual evidence of this? You can't just state that this was "clear" without providing us with the source of your opinion.

Furthermore, if you had no idea of any OFT investigation into this company, why on earth do you consider yourself to be in any position to comment on this matter? The investigation has been mentioned many times in these forums (it is in fact the second OFT investigation into this company). You clearly haven't researched this matter fully and indeed haven't even bothered to read the relevant forums on this website yet you feel as though you have the right to criticise others for not reading up on everything?.

If you check I have only been on these forums since Aug this year. Only came here to assist and educate people on how to deal with issues like this.
But as someone who has to deal with people who have these companies on a daily basis. And have done for many years. I know exactly how they work.
I'm not surprised that the OFT have been looking at them as we tell people to report them, if they are unhappy.

You will see just how clear it is.

Another glaring issue is people clearly not checking their bank accounts.....
How do you miss £20 a month going out.

and as you will see dales rider in my original post i state that my other half only had his bank account for 18 months and he organized for£25 a month to go into a savings account (that actually stopped after the trial period ) but then obviously rewards now starting taking it so when checking his balance he wrongly assumed the twenty something difference was to them, i am getting a bit annoyed that your not reading what has been put and purely thinking this is all user greed/ignorance/error. sorry but it isnt! the only money my other pays out of this account is our rent which he does online every week and the savings money of £25 which went out etc.. so when there was a shortfall of roughly that amount he didnt question it, he does no internet shopping etc.. infact this was and is to date the only time he has used the card online! hope that clarifies that we didnt "miss" the money going out it was a very simple mistake etc.. your not really advizing me in any way as to how to proceed further all i have really read you put is that we should have seen it all (when i and ffyes have explained why it wasnt so blinking clear!) and that we should have missed twenty quid etc.. i came on here for advice on how to follow up what is currently going on not be told where we went wrong in the first place, my first post actually states that i understand our part in it very clearly!!!

oh and we also had a death in our family in november then xmas then moved house at the beginning of february so a lot of contributing factors to seeing a shortfall of twenty quid and not thinking much about it!! if anyone can ACTUALLY help me progress with this from the letter i have posted on here, i would be very grateful (thanks fyffes so far :)

Once again you've not provided any point of reference. How exactly are we supposed to know which pages you're referring to? Please provide details along with the necessary information regarding the question I posed earlier about substantiating your claim that the signing up process was "clear" two years ago.

I really am concerned that you're making this up as you go along.

You also claim to be here to "educate people on how to deal with issues like this". May I ask how it is helpful to tell people what they already know? Particularly in a condescending manner. Everybody who posts on this forum is looking for advice on how to get out of a tricky situation yet all you seem to do is joyously tell them what they did wrong - THEY ALREADY KNOW WHAT THEY DID WRONG!

You have no idea how dangerous your inaccurate advice can potentially be. Kindly do some research on each individual case instead of generalising. Every case is different and your advice should not be heeded unless you can provide factual evidence that you have a concept of what is happening.

Once again, I await the provision of the factual evidence upon which you have based your remarkably vague opinions.

Fyffes, while you are talking about providing evidence, can you please provide links to the two OFT investigations that you claim have taken place?

    Thanks.

thank the lord for you for you fyffes, i am well aware that we shouldnt have even given his card details in the first place, but circumstances prevailed where he didnt check his statements as on checking balances at atm after rent paid etc it was adding up with the savings money coming out (he forgot that he only set it up for six months to see how it got on etc..) then it just happened to stop at almost the same point rewards starting taking the money out! either way this rewards now has from even what i have just googled today has had tonnes and tonnes of complaints etc..and i dont have to tell people how to deal with it!!
