Once again you've not provided any point of reference. How exactly are we supposed to know which pages you're referring to? Please provide details along with the necessary information regarding the question I posed earlier about substantiating your claim that the signing up process was "clear" two years ago.
I really am concerned that you're making this up as you go along.
THEY ALREADY KNOW WHAT THEY DID WRONG!
You have no idea how dangerous your inaccurate advice can potentially be. .
The pages I'm refering to are the ones you get passed to after clicking the "I would like the discount".
Far too many retailers involved in this, including Argos and the page that you get passed to only has a timed life. So you can't link back to it.
We tried to do this. But after 15 mins the link stopped working.
Same as to how to prove something from 2 years ago.
All I know is that it was clear that it said 30 DAY TRIAL.
But as I have found out....
its no good telling people this. As All they say is I NEVER SAW IT...
And you can't argue on that. All saying well its there does it cause a arguement. And not get the issue resolved.
So many will not admit that they were in the wrong.
I know exactly how this can be delt with. Once it has been cancelled.
As to the last point. That is exactly why I joined.....
Far too much inaccurate advice by people who have no idea on what help can be given to people in this situation.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Dalesrider you simply must stop this now. I've asked you for evidence to substantiate your claims and you've ignored them. Your silence speaks volumes and that should be the end of it.
Despite this, you simply could not resits the temptation to attempt to effectively cyber bully on this thread could you?
Nobody is impressed with your insistence on pointing out the obvious. And the bullying is completely out of order. If you have nothing helpful to say, kindly go away.
Answred that bit in a provious post.
Well if you consider pointing out the obvious is bullying then so be it. :rotfl:
Sometimes people miss what is right under their noses.
I am not attempting to bully ??? anyone.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

Oh the irony of this post. I have repeatedly asked you to provide evidence that you are not providing "inaccurate advice" yet you continue to sidestep the issue.
Also, may I ask who the "we" that you keep referring to actually are?
I've read quite a few of your posts in these forums now and you generally seem to float around pointing out the obvious without offering any particular assistance or displaying any expertise in any particular field. The condescending manner in which you communicate with people you claim to be here to "advise" suggests that you are here for reasons apart from than those you claim.
Please think carefully before posting another cringeworthy reply.0 -
Last time...
How can I provide links to something that does not exist.
We is a department full of people who deal with these types of situations on a daily basis.
But the obvious is often something people miss. As it is usually the simple things that work.
End of the day with these types of companies. They send a email to confirm membership of the 30 day trial. Usually drops to spam/junk folders. (note don't have any...)
Like a bank account you need to check them and not simply allow google/yahoo/microsoft etc to delete them without checking.
As a guide my insurance docs went into the spam folder...Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

Once again, please provide your evidence. You must have seen something with your own eyes which proved this beyond doubt?0 -

How very convenient!
Please stop trying to justify your comments by mentioning completely unrelated scenarios. The question is very simple - please provide actual evidence to this specific case. Otherwise you should apologise for attempting to mislead people and go and hang your head in shame.0 -

By ridiculing and bullying people? I sincerely hope you don't work for Citizens Advice.0 -
im beginning to wonder if dales is actually the "robin" i spoke to at rewards today, as they both have the same attitude, dales as i said before you have not read any of the posts correctly where i stated he hadnt had a bank account before not for over 12 years as has always been paid cash into his hand (all totally above board i hasten to add! just an old style company that actually only got a bacs system two years ago!) he wanted to get an account to get a loan etc ( and because i told him it was about time he did!) and said he wanted to deal with it, you are being very narrow minded and generalized in my opinion. i have expressed that i was quite upset by everything going on and you are continuing to be very derogatory about the trivial case of not reading a bank statement! as i said before i will put it in caps for you HE HAD £25 A MONTH GO OUT FOR A SIX MONTH PERIOD INTO A SAVINGS ACCOUNT, HE FORGOT HE SET IT UP FOR JUST THAT SHORT PERIOD SO WHEN THE ACCOUNT BALANCE HAD THAT SHORTFALL HE, WRONGLY, AS I PUT BEFORE, ASSUMED IT WAS THE SAVINGS MONEY!!! and as i said before he has learnt a valuable lesson that he should have checked his statements etc.. now im done with explaining again why he didnt think any think of it, i also never once stated he had ANY direct debits going out either!! a standing order into a savings account and paying the rent online weekly etc.. he knew how much that came to and the balance at the atm after those transactions always added up!! got it yet??? i have explained i was quite upset by what had happened etc, so why are you continuing to be how you are??!!0

oh and for your information the bank DID help! they have sent letter stating recurrent transaction has been cancelled there end so that even if they try to take it again (which i have read on this thread they HAVE and succeeded in doing so) the bank will reject it!0

and yes i do feel ive been spoken to like a petulant child and bullishly! bit like the bloke who i spoke to on the phone today, i am glad you feel that coming across this way has some how "helped" me understand how to deal with the issues in hand that are going on now??!! belittling and berating a pregnant woman for not getting her other half to read a bank statement is not "help".0
