I absolutely love this website. But the one and only flaw is that if people hang around long enough and submit enough posts, they will eventually obtain a status which gives the impression to newer users that their opinion should be believed without question.
Lets say for example that a clinically proven compulsive liar decides to join up. He/she then sits in his armchair living in his/her fantasy world making comments which some people will agree with whilst others do not. Within a year or so he/she has managed to post a good hundred or so comments and picked up comparative percentage of "thanks" along the way (throw enough s**t against the wall and some will eventually stick).
Here lies the problem. A new user who's found the MSE forums because they are faced with a crisis will be inclined to believe a "trusted" user of this website unconditionally. Which means that a compulsive liar could find himself/herself in the position that they are directing people to take actions based purely upon the twisted thoughts which exist only within their bizarre fantasy worlds.
This is very dangerous indeed.0 -

belittling and berating a pregnant woman for not getting her other half to read a bank statement is not "help".
If you actually read one of my previous posts, you will have seen I made the point that the bank can assist after you have cancelled.
But had the O/H read his statments in Dec. It would have picked it up then, and not devolped into a £200 plus issue.
No, that does not help you now. But it will in the future.
I wish you well and hope your have a fantastic pregancy and good birth. Not that, that has any bearing on this thread.
No I don't work for them.
Fyffes.
You are entitled to you opinion. Just the same as I am. I am not going to get personal on this, as you appear to.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

If you're looking for a pram for your new baby I can recommend a lovelly little company called Rewards Now. All you need to do is give them £19.95 per month and they'll give you a link to a company that sells a pram for fifteen quid more than anybody else. And don't forget, you also get a £10 Asda voucher but that'll cost you another £19.95 per month.
Absolute bargain!0 -

I have not got personal. All I have done is ask you to provide the evidence upon which you have based your claims. You have repeatedly refused to provide any evidence whatsoever. I'm sure anybody who reads your blatant avoidance tactics will arrive at the same conclusion as I have.
Perhaps you should stop trying to teach everybody a lesson and instead consider changing your ways. If you're going to bully people online you need to be able to back up your claims and accusations. Otherwise you'll end up looking like an absolute fool.0 -

Checking a account is not just about balancing the amoutns its also about looking at the debits.
No wonder he's fuming....
As to how to get your money back. You are in the hands of rewards now.
Your bank can't help you. Unless they debited after March when you cancelled.
Prior to that well you O/H can go to the police. But all that will do is give the person on the desk a good story for the guys in the back. Rewards now have done nothing illegal or against the law.
think you stated here that the bank cant help me, i am actually reading your posts!!!0 -
and the bank did help me as it could carry on if i hadnt rung the bank and got them to cancel the recurrent transaction etc.. the way you have come across has been very rude dales if im honest! how many times are you going to go on about reading a bank statement and how many times am i going to say WE GET THAT!! i put it before you even told me he should have read it etc...0
-
and the police didnt say what you have said either! as my other half rang them today and they were very interested in the fact they have not offered legal documentation and said it would be classed as "stolen" from his bank account if they cannot offer up this documentation etc... so sorry he wasnt laughed at etc.. far from it! especially as the company has been investigated twice, i know more than you about it all now and i dont work within any of this etc..!!!0

Go easy on him, he's just a bloke isn't he. I'd much prefer to have a beer with him than an individual who spends his days trawling websites looking for vulnerable people to put the boot into when they're down.
Do keep us informed though....0
