I have a feeling he may have registered as Bendix. I am very likely to be wrong, but the tone of one or two posts point that way! if they are not one and the same then they share some views :D

I think he has registered as BarclaysManager(cos he was back posting on the forum under that name ;) ).

So he hasn't changed at all then? He has not re-registered, he's simply decided to post again which is great! Others are already calling him Devils & Bendix but he isn't - he is still good old BM.

The thread in question is found here, with my response to the thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=24282619#post24282619

Whatever he calls himself, I am just glad to see him back helping people whom need it. :T

Ive been in to my local Barclays Branch and they removed my £100 reserve from my account instantly.. (I wasn't in it) For 5 days use they were charging me £22 so if I was in it for say 8 days they charge £44...waste of money. I've struggled this month not to use it and im so glad...!

    Just to point out...

A payday loan for 8 days of £100 if totally repaid on payday would only cost £125, were as Barclays are charging £144...!!!

(Im not condoning payday loans either....):-)

Oh puke!! Yeah right, of course you are. Afterall it helps to ease your guilt seeing as it was YOU who pulled the poor bloke apart in the first place & started all the mud slinging & bullying aimed at him. Two faced creep.

LOL whatever! I think you've already proven you're a troll by the fact the only time you post is to abuse me. As for your friend or alter-ego cbrown372; thanking you does nothing to help you being he always logs on the same day as you, thanks your silly posts and also aims abuse at me! Maybe cbrown372 and aron are both the same plank?

For the record I had nothing to do with his decision, as you'd know if you read his own post where he stated that it was because of MSE not anyone from MSE!

To be fair, I'd hardly see it as bullying. It was, at best, a desperate circle jerk.

    I'm a she!

I'm unimpressed with barclays as a whole as it seems they have done nothing to help and are just pushing me further into debt, the harder i try to claw my way back out of the red, the harder they push
i know exactly how u feel.

i had an experience with barclays not so long back - never again!

knew some items were coming out on a monday, was planning to put the funds in on a saturday morning to be in time - they said i could do this. checked my bank online on the saturday morning only to find that not only had the said items i was expecting had been taken out, but they had takent he charges out in respect of that because the funds weren't there yet.

when i queried this, they basically said tough. i argued the fact that as saturday was a non working day, they had no right to take direct debits (direct debit agreement stated working days) and the like out but they begged to differ because the date was forward dated for monday.

i told them basically that I WAS going to put money in to cover the payments but now I am not as the charges would swallow this. just told them they were getting nothing. they started the usual threat of action to which i said, go for it. Went bankrupt a few months later with all my other debts anyways, that included and as such - they got nothing - and to think i used to work for them for 5 years!!

It was actually nothing, certainly not a deperate circle, as you both know and agreed. Several of us disagreed with something and so went about a topical discussion which did go round in circles; several times in fact and actually became quite boring if I recall.

That is not though, what stopped you coming onto the forum which is what aron is trying to imply. But then again maybe look at his posts before actually paying attention to him.... all he does is insult people! :rotfl:

I'm only replying to this, because it felt like da ja vou - turns out this is the second time you've posted this as a reply.

What I don't understand is you are so vague about Barclays reply, but claim to have worked for them, specifically dealing with mis-paid standing orders and bill payments? Surely (seeing standing orders and bill payments are similar to direct debits) you should know why?

My point is, it is all well and good to shroud your post in vagaries to make Barclays look worse, but I would have thought (especially seeing you worked for them) there would be a better explanation than "tough".

Also, on a more general note, most banks will argue you must have cleared funds in the account the working day before payments are due off. Leaving it until the Saturday beforehand seems cutting it a bit fine. Finally, if Barclays process direct debits on a Saturday which are then post-dated for the Monday, I cannot see how this would have an adverse effect on depositing money. It would obviously effect your ability to withdraw cash, but surely if the deposit cleared on the Saturday, and the direct debit was dated Monday, there is no issue?

    Perhaps you can clarify.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.
