I apologise, your fan club were describing your demise on another thread and were fretting so much about your absence. I thought you had reinvented yourself but now I understand Barclays may have more than one superhero

How exactly was he being a "Barclays superhero"? He's answering a question about Lloyds...?

Right - lets stop having a go at BarclaysManager - whether he is reincarnated as Devil or remains as himself that is fine. We need his expertise and advice on this forum and the more you alienate him the bigger the chance he'll just get up and go, as has happened with several very helpful users.

It doesn't matter what he calls himself, I am sure he will contribute the same which is all that counts so come on lads, leave the guy alone !!!!!!!

Yet again, i'm speaking on behalf of the majority who want him to remain here!

  • I bank with LloydsTSB and have debts with Hbos which up until now hasn't been an issue as they have operated under two seperate licences.

However, a couple of weeks ago I was sent a set of new terms and conditions by Lloyds TSB which was clear in making the point that they can off set debts between any accounts held with LloydsTSB or Hbos from 31/10/2009.

Has anyone else seen and read this?

The Lloyds TSB Group included Lloyds TSB, C&G, etc. That group doesn't exist anymore; it's now The Lloyds Banking Group.

Lloyds TSB still does exist, it was just bought by Lloyds Banking Group, a company formed to acquire Lloyds TSB and HBOS.

LTSB and HBOS can set-off debt within their respective groups, but presently the only legal connection between the groups is that they have a common shareholder
