*** Update ***
Just had a PM from BM who confirmed he may not be sticking around for long so come on guys, lets not make it worse and draw a line under this? I reiterate, it would be a bloody shame to see him go.
For the record it is not us lot arguing that has affected his decision, it appears other factors are involved.
Shame, total shame.2010 - year of the troll

He needs to re-register and use a new name, he like all of us value our jobs and he needs to be very careful about advertising where he works in case they dont like something he says. I dont think the disclaimer in the signature is enough.0

Mate you're missing the point. He shouldn't have to do this. Lets just drop it please. If he wants to explain he will do, i'm sure.
I agree with his points, lets put it that way.2010 - year of the troll

It's nothing to do with my employer, it's to do with the administration of this site itself. What would William Shatner do?0 -
You can see the problem though, look at the top line on this website it say " Consumers Revenge". It could be said to being analogous to calling yourself McDonaldsManager on a site dedicated to animals rights. Around here the banks are the enemy, this all started up over reclaiming unfair charges and getting our own back against organisations who were making billions at the expense of the consumer, who as a group here has a much bigger voice and has effected change.
Also, you do need to be extra careful as I have seen people fired, who lost at an Employment Tribunal, because they were making a fool of themselves in the local pub while wearing the work uniform. Employers can take in to account conduct outside of work unfortunately, and I would not like to see you lose your job. It is something I dont agree with I think what you do outside of work should be your own business.
Can you not just re-register and not tell anyone who you are, or will I get a warning for mentioning it. The only problem I can see is if you have a static IP address which most of us do have these days.0 -
I would just like to say thanks to BM for his answer to my query - despite being a "confused poster" (see post number #110) I have now been able to see that I have a zero reserve on my account which I am happy with - as I manage my account very carefully I have no intention of going overdrawn, and being on a low income, I suspect I would probably be turned down for an authorised overdraft. Knowing that if there was a problem, I could arrange for the reserve to be actioned, does give me peace of mind that the situation which happened with Abbey (I went £2 overdrawn for 24 hours and then £9 overdrawn for less than 48 hours and incurred £110 in bank charges as a result) will not happen again.
So thanks BM - I hope you have not been hounded off the site. The independent woman's checklist for success :1. Look like a lady, 2. Act like a man, 3. Work like a dogLife instructions : 1. I confirmed above, it is not us that is making the decision for him. He has not been hounded, far from it - we actually want him to stay and usually he gives a great argument thus my suprise when he was quiet for over a week. I am glad it is personal reasons and not our behaviour that has made him decide his own outcome, I PM'd him to personally apologise for my behaviour towards him lately - granted, I was wrong and told him this.2010 - year of the troll

I was careful not to apportion any blame - I merely wanted to express the fact that I thought it would be a real shame if BM felt unable to continue posting. Perhaps "hounded" was too strong a word to use, but from his comment "it's to do with the administration of this site itself", I don't think it can be attributed to personal reasons.
I really don't want to get into an argument which is why I've refrained from making any comments until now, but I do believe in thanking people and showing my appreciation when people give me help. And that's all I really wanted to do.The independent woman's checklist for success :1. Look like a lady, 2. Act like a man, 3. Work like a dogLife instructions : 1. Breathe in, 2. Breathe out, 3. You're reading my messages wrong...... I am not arguing, i'm telling you the way it is. ....... he has said himself above the reason why, coupled with my chat earlier I know what he means and trust me, its nothing to do with the users of the site - maybe the actual site itself or the staff? Consider that and you'll be on the right tracks!2010 - year of the troll
