Bear in mind, if you have to change flights at another airport, you will have to go through security again - we saw people in Singapore having bottles of spirits which they'd bought duty free having them confiscated when they transferred flights! (Presumably because they had been bought duty free at airports other than Changi)

No, a direct flight and just intend to a small tipple each not a whole bottle.;)

Boots were/are doing 2 bottles of coke for £1.60 which is cheap as chips for an airport, for example in our baggage hall 1 bottle is £1.50

Yes, not a bad price for coke (thinking bacardi now, ha ha!) I will have a look in there for DH and myself. Hope the water is as cheap, our DS and caffeine/ fizz/ exciting holiday flight don't mix! :rotfl:
Thanks for the heads up everyone! :T:T

This doesn't happen if they are security bagged and sealed when you buy it.

Although it is not illegal, most airlines don't allow you to drink your own alcohol on board. This is so the cabin crew can monitor drinking. If you were found to be drinking your own, then you may have your alcohol confiscated, but returned to you on disembarking.

    Poop again!!!

The only reason any airline may try and prevent you from drinking your own booze is so they can sell you their over priced drink.

Does anyone believe that if you were paying for the drink they would tell you that you have had too many?

As far as confiscating it thats tosh, they have no right to confiscate your property you may find thats theft.

C'mon, think MSE - nothing to stop you taking an empty 500ml bottle through security...
