First post of 2012 Im very bad arent I? Had a nice quiet xmas and new year, whole family have had a nasty bug for the past week and now have DS1 (who is rarely ill) home for the day, nasty cough sore throat and temperature. OH still working in the city so thats good and some more sign work to do over the next couple of nights. Tonight I have parent teacher meeting for the older two following the xmas tests, groan hate those.
Weather not too bad today and managed to get the dog bathed and some more painting done inside. Having to use the drier though for the washing no wind to dry anything just drizzle. Happy New Year all :beer:

And to you, turfy! Sorry the lurgies have visited you - I was just hearing yesterday that the bugs this year (in England, anyway) have been very mild. Goes to show its not always so.

Hazy sunshine and a little drizzle today. Ned is happy to be out mucking out done and jobs outside all done. Walked to the bus this morning with DS2 it was drier earlier so I thought we'd save petrol in the little car and go for a walk. Porridge for breakfast too so all good. Off to alter my sig, have a good day everyone.

Those figures are looking good. I must be sad as I used to love mucking out, then having a nice deep bed put down.

Hi Lucielle yes I too like mucking out (are we mad??) I cant put hay down as dear old ned thinks he can eat it!!!!!! He gets lots of sawdust though which he likes.

Just been doing the banking and sorted out some transfers, then remembered DS1 desperately needs shoes this weekend so deep sigh, I think paying more for them pay be cheaper in the long run, he goes through shoes like crazy.:( Sneaks off to see where I to save more euros.

Weather is miserable again today, not cold but foggy. DS2 and dog and myself managed a walk to the bus again today despite the grotty weather. Outside jobs done and poached egg and toast for brekkie, off to get cleaned up inside now, is there no end to it?:o

Its been a windy night but at least its dry today. DS2 has a footy match and I have to take DS1 for new school shoes hoping it wont be too expensive!!!! So will drop off DS2 and then try to get the shoes whilst the game is ongoing and then back to help DH with signs that need to be done by Monday.
Donald (one of our duck drakes) was despatched destined for the table tomorrow, we ended up with 3 drakes so cant have that one more to go so Im sure someone will want one. Trouble is no one wants drakes so I do feel a bit guilty they have to go, they will all be fighting if I dont though, so no option really. Off for some brekkie and sort out Ned etc etc. Have a good day everyone.
