Had a great weekend despit extra travelling time due to a cancelled ferry. Also forgot my mobile, only realised when I decided to try and listen to the radio on the way up to Dublin, felt a right nana!:o
My friend was so surprised to see me at the party she burst into tears (the good ones) so Im so glad I decided to go we had a great night, great friends, great company all in all a great time was had by all. On Sunday I had dinner with mum and dad which was lovely, travelled back on Monday which took most of the day so yesterday was spent doing not a lot, I was shattered. Made up for it today though, Ive given the office a good clean up and its looking all spick and span (for how long???):rotfl: Hope all is well Im off for a catch up on the diaries.

Not too much happening here a the mo, just the usual school runs and animal jobs. DH has a couple of days off so hope to get some stuff done outside if the weather is dry, it rained last night so watch this space.

This is the first morning in about 2 wks Ive woken up to NO RAIN!!! Wonderful its crisp and dark still but at least its dry. We may get a few more jobs done today hopefully. Just makes you feel like youre getting somewhere when its not a mudbath everywhere you look.
All ok here moneywise and glad Feb is finally here, hopefully we may see the benefit of not paying the loan this month as its been taken up with car expenses and christmas etc etc etc. There's always something extra to factor in. Have a good day everyone.

Annual mortgage statement came today so I have put it on my sig, I can only update it once a year but still Im hoping to overpay one day when the loan is gone. DH went to price out some guttering for the new porch today and is probably double what we expected  but its a job that badly needs doing and means he can carry on with the stonework. Its such an ongoing task this house but we really cant leave it as it is and hopefully it will pay dividends when we do decide to move. That is something that we have talked about at length for some time now. The two elder kids have exams in the next couple of years and so we cant really move until thats done and the house is somewhere near. Doesnt stop me looking though, we really want to be near the coast and of course would need somewhere for Ned.
Been a lovely day here today so all the bedding has got done and all the outdoor jobs too, tomorrow we'll be working on the porch again.
