Happy New Year. have you got to the bottom of the washing pile? Feeling virtuous as I've mopped the kitchen floor.

Morning turfy, hope you're doing okay - just popping in cos I saw your diary after lucielle posted :) hope you're doing well. I just can't imagine how difficult it must be without water - flushing the toilet, for a start!

All back to normal here at long last and have been busy taking down decs etc. Moneywise still have the dreaded barcalycard and hopefully will crack that in the next couple of months. Wish I could get rid quicker but hey ho it will be gone soon.
Hope everyone is slowly getting back to normal after the hols. DH has gone off to the scrapyard to find a new part for DD's car that wont start, I will be needing it next week for school runs as he has work and needs the car, so fingers crossed we get it going.
Not much else to report just juggling figures and coming up with the same answer, aghhh moneysaving drives u mad.:rotfl:

Yep, thats what its like, isn't it. Glad to hear you're doing okay, and keeping your head above water - perhaps a little too apt, seeing as the water troubles you've been through, but its what came to mind, sorry!

Another horrible rainy day, feeling very tired at the mo and my hands are so painful with arthritis must be the weather.
Really want to kick the barclaycard but the last bit seems to be the hardest to crack. Down to the last £300 now which is taking forever but hopefully I will get there in the next couple of months. Hope everyone is doing ok

Hi Turfy, sorry to hear your hands are sore. Is there anything you can take to ease it? You are so close with Barclaycard.

What lucielle said! Do you have the cheap ibuprofen over there? At Boots, its only 36p for 16 or 20 tabs, which is really good value. Its so horrible to be cold and achey, isn't it ... this house is a lot easier to keep warm, though the hall is still cold compared to the rooms, I'm only passing through :)

Sleep well - that helps too!

Just managed another small payment of barclaycard so feeling a bit better about it all. Only mins on the everything else though, keep plugging away. DH is still on about selling up and building our own, trouble is in this market you just dont know what kind of a price (if anything decent) you'd get. We may wait until spring and test the market, I know we are so far from the village and in the depths of winter it can be depressing, so maybe if we do sell and rent for a bit it would free up the finances, much to dwell on hence the silly oclock waking up, hey ho, hope everyone is well this rainy morning.
