It depends what they've woken for! Joshua (12) will normally sort himself out and only wake me if he's really poorly or upset. I trust him with the medicine cabinet and he'll just get up and get a paracetamol tablet or a throat lozenge or whatever if he feels unwell. James (10) will wake me if he's unwell or upset, but if he just wants a drink or something, he'll sort that out himself.

Charlotte is the 2 year old and she'll either get up or just lay in bed and yell "want Mam now" at the top of her voice :rotfl:She hasn't been in a bed long and we've had a few weeks of her getting up and climbing into bed with someone else. She's stayed in her own bed the last few nights, so I think she's settled in there now.

The older ones are usually more adept at doing what they know are the right things to do, but I still get 16 and 14 sneaking into my bed for a cuddle when they feel lonely/unwell. I haven't lost what they consider the 'cool' label yet, so it's still cool to cuddle me :rotfl:

It feels like forever since mine were 2, that's quite scary considering i'm only in my mid-late thirties

Once a child gets used to it's new surroundings/sleeping arrangements it's all fine. You'll still have moments, but once they start to think 'hey this is nice', they'll more often than not have good nights.

    Morning all!
MotM you seem to have settled in nicely! Its good to have another man about the place :)

It feels weird, as everyone is just a screen name and you all know each other.

I feel like it's starting school all over again. :D;):p

I'm gutted as my recorded episode of It pays to watch where I was on is gone with the harddrive conking out on the old box :( booo my 2 minutes of fame - gone forever! *sigh*

TV stations repeat alot of programs, sometimes years after original screening, so don't give up hope, especially if they have multiple channels.

Try googling the program name and maybe when it first aired
    , you may get lucky.

AM Ryan looks so smart with his new 'do :) His mop made him look like an oasis fan (which I thought was quite cute n funny) his lovely eye have reminded me Does anyone who's LO has brown eyes remember when they changed? Ed has lovely blue eyes still and I hope they stay but I can't remember when Chris's changed to brown

LO's changed within about a week from clear dark blue to green and now hazel/almost dark brown. I think she'll end up very dark brown eyes. However, I have green eyes and they didn't change until I was about 2 years old. That was unusual so I had my eyes tested lots and they concluded that nothing was wrong, It was just taking a while for their colour to develop/settle.

Edit: bizziebaby have some holiday stollers to test MacSmiler - she says that things get sent out in rotation - keeping my fingers crossed that you get one ;)

I saw on FB - I need one.....

I appreciate that :) I guess people will join tomorrow and think I am an oldie (steady!)

It feels strange talking about the girls to strangers, hence I still find it easier to say 16, 14 etc rather than their names. Not sure I like the idea of naming them, but that's the safety first aspect of me again :o

The girls make me proud everyday, just for not being like either of their mothers, that's an enormous plus :T I have bad taste in women it seems, so as long as they don't turn out like them, i'm classing that as a result :T

Hmmm.....we have just had a lovely present from a friend of my MIL's lots of weaning bowls, spoons, a cup etc etc. however, they were all in blue and a yucky lime green (normal green is my favourite colour). Now I am the first not to buy lots of pink just because LO is a girl, and we have a mix of all colours (her sippy cup is dark blue, we have some green spoons and pink pots and bunnykins bowls) However, the cup was a rather silly design.....so I took them backa nd changed them for bright pink versions!!!! Oh well - at least this way they'll get used (and the cup just went back completely and some new bibs purchased instead ;) ). BUT, I still feel bad about it as MIL will know when she comes to Babysit on Saturday. Oh well - never mind :D
