    Right, where was I..

weelz, fab idea.. I could design the "Panic, my baby turned up early and I have nothing" box! ;):D

Rhys has finally zonked out with Daddy. He's only had a 2hr nap this morning straight after brekkie and a couple of 20-30min catnaps. Hoping to be able to wake him in a couple of hours, feed him and get him down for a good few hours at a time tonight :)

Apparently SIL is gracing us with her presence tonight - not to see Rhys, just to drop off a key so we can feed her cats while they're away! - so I'd better have a tidy up..

Finally, check out Rhys' new rattles! :D

Hope all goes well tomorrow elle and that you can get parked.

I'm having another "arrrggghhhh" day. Charlotte is hyper and hasn't had an afternoon nap and she's horrid again. I've quizzed the boys about what my Mam is feeding her. She's having weetabix and a cup of milk for breakfast here before I go to work. As soon as she gets to my Mam's she asks for biscuits. Then she gets more biscuits and some raisins with juice mid-morning. For her lunch, she had a ham sandwich but left the bread and just ate the ham. Then my Mam gave her a bowl of ice cream with smarties, maltesers and jelly babies on top. She had dandelion and burdock to drink. No wonder she's hyper with all that sugar :(

She doesn't normally ask for a snack mid-morning here, so I don't bother giving her one and she manages fine. Most of the time she'll have a sandwich then a yoghurt/fromage frais or fruit, and a homecooked meal for tea. She does get biscuits and sweets now and again after tea but I don't like her having them everyday.

Have asked my Mam not to give her crap, but she's not listened to me and keeps giving her it. Rang my Dad and he's had a word, so hopefully she'll give her better food.

It's days like this when I feel really guilty for going to work part time, but we'd struggle financially if I didn't work and I do like my job.

My house is a death trap still. Think I'll do usual thing of thinking stuff will never happen, the panic when it does.

Mine is probably classed as a death trap. I've never had stair gates, cupboard catches, socket covers, accessible bleach and cleaners, ornaments in easy reach etc. However, they've all been taught not to touch such things and we've not any any accidents or anything.
You know the bit on Me too where they run out of time and have to do things really quickly before the song finishes?

Some of that is filmed in Newcastle. We were there last week and I got into trouble off the boys for singing "I'm on my way, to work today, walking along the city streets" :o:rotfl:
I haven't lost what they consider the 'cool' label yet, so it's still cool to cuddle me :rotfl:

I'm not allowed to kiss or cuddle my boys in public, but they like kisses and cuddles at home. I tease Joshua by signing off text messages with "love you cutie pie" or similar as I know his friends read them over his shoulder :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

Yep definitely, my dh used to get annoyed with the fact that I had Cheshire in my profile:rolleyes:

Sorry if I sounded blunt, dh was shooting zombies (on the PS3:cool:) and baby was whinging and 'distracting' him:mad:
Yes quite a few of us use names, that is mainly because a fair few of us have chatted since being pregnant (on a pregnancy thread on this site) So have had many, many conversations about our name choices for when our babies are born...therefore once we have come over to this thread, we have announced our final choice:D
I tend to mostly use ds1, ds2, ds3/Kai because I have three boys so it is easire fo people to distinguish which age child I am talking about....However in your case it may be just as easy to use the age of the child. if you said dd5 I would probably have to stare at your sig for an age to work out how old she is:rotfl:

I don't think I am quite as bad as County specific, but names & towns I may be a bit funny. I won't even let the girls network. Probably too many US TV Shows down the years, but that's the way it is.

You didn't sound blunt and even if you did, i'd imagine it was me misreading - internet forums and all that. Unless it was full of swear words and aggression that is :o

I imagined people would use the pregnancy thread, then come over to here. Natural progression I would have thought. I'm only sorry I can't join in that fun, where can I go, we have no single fathers clubs :rotfl: I get strange looks for being a single father, other parents are funny. The single mothers are very friendly and chatty mainly, the married ones are a bit backward and the men are fine until they realise i'm single and think I may steal the wives :rotfl: It's not like i'm the greatest catch ever, so they worry a bit too much.

School teachers are funny too. Parents evenings are always fun. They often slip up 'and your wife?' then I have to say I don't have one and they say 'oh' and quickly move on

:rotfl: @ staring at my sig. Well, I shall use ages as long as people don't get confused. I'm of course assuming people read my posts and don't just hit the thanks button to make me think i'm actually typing with my RSI hand with good reason :rotfl:

Even the ham sandwich isn't OK these days
Ham Sandwiches Too Dangerous For Children

Your mum is being a right tinker isn't she! I thought it was bad enough that mine gives Chris 'just a taste' of ginger beer and Dr Pepper and the odd sip of wine  he's 2 and 1/2:mad:!!

Do you think that is a boy thing? My girls all kiss and cuddle me goodbye if i'm having to leave them anywhere.

My 13 year old once kissed and cuddled me goodbye when I dropped her off for a school trip, last Christmas and one of her friends said "you kiss and cuddle your dad goodbye?" and she was really proud of it saying I was really cool and everything and her friends said they wished their dads were. Made me feel really good, strangely :rotfl: I'm not past it just yet :rotfl:

That's cruel to your boy though. I admit I say sweetheart, but it's more acceptable to a girl, I suppose.
