We use Aptimil stage 1 milk, but it is mostly just for making up cerial etc. She only has formula to drink if she is at my Mums and will be having it at nursery too, when she starts there in September. I'm hoping I can still do the daytime feeds on the days I'm not at work and night time feeds every day for as long as she wants them, but I will just have to see how my supply reacts to being mucked about I suppose.
Had a fun time at the coffee morning this morning - last one before I go back to work, although I will have lots of holiday to use between 21st September and beginning of December (not allowed holiday in December) so maybe I can take the appropriate Mondays as days off. :rotfl: My Mum met us there, and took izzy home with her, so I can get some stuff done. So far I've got the washing machine on, washed up and cooked lunch. Ended up cooking tea at the same time (just needs a few finishing touches and bunging in the oven for a bit) which isn't bad going seeing as I've only been home for an hour or so.
The only thing I have to moan about today is DH's inability to grasp the fact that when you have finished washing up everything is meant to be CLEANER THAN WHEN YOU STARTED . Most of the washing up was the stuff he "washed" last night - I was able to put away 4 things from the whole lot. You can translate that as "all is well in the ladybird household today" seeing as I can't think of anything better to moan about
Anyway, best get on. Have a kitchen floor to clean, and a living room to tidy and hoover while I have a house free of anyone who is scared of the big noisy machine
Oh - one last question. I need to get a stairgate soon. No stairs here, but I want one to put between the living room and kitchen. I'd kind of prefer one that doesn't have a bar across the bottom to trip over, although I realise we will soon get used to it being there if we have one. I don't know if there are pros/cons of the different kinds though. Any recomendations? Baby is asleep - replacement phone has arrived so when she wakes up we're heading to Tesco to buy formula!Once I made the decision to have fomula in the house hubby said "Good - I do feel so useless sometimes when you struggle because she won't feed and I can't do it for you, at least now I can take her and give her a feed and you can have a break. But you needed to be the one to decide not me".... I love the daft sod... I really do!

I have no idea about eye colour, the health visitor told me it can be 6 monhts, but looking at Ryan I cant see them changing.
I remeber when Aston was born I asked the nurse at the hospital if his eyes would stay blue and she said only if my Mum had blue eyesrandom!

I got ours from Boots.
Took me ages to catch up and now I need to go put the boy down for a nap.
Question about stairgates - at the top of our stairs we have an open landing with shaped spindles (no big corner post) - any suggestions for a gate?
I think it is just George pig on them though...that is why I was asking about who had mentioned the pig thing. I was looking at Next stuff yesterday, and thought they were Peppa, but on further inspection I believe they are actually George:rolleyes:
No suggestions about the stair gate sorry, ours have always had the big post at the top and bottom.....what does yours have then

And speaking of which - I wanted to make sure she'd actually drink it so made her a bottle up - no idea how much she'd need etc so made the amount the box stated - about 7oz... and she's scoffed the lot!!! Didn't blink at the fact it was formula and just trying to get her off to sleep nowDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! I didn't even know there was a George pig
It just has the normal thin spindles which are about an inch thick and curved so not great for attaching anything to...
I might get one of those big, moveable barrier things then I can just move it about as and when...either that or a leg chain so I can tie him to the bedplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

How did you get a free box and installWe have just been discussing Sky Hd and sports packages etc...but I don't want multi-room and that means paying £30 for install, plus the £49 for the box, and I am not doing it, I am putting my foot down, I will not be talked into it:rotfl:

According to my Mum, Tammy Wynette did that with her kids. Was pretty common none too long ago.
My house is a death trap still. Think I'll do usual thing of thinking stuff will never happen, the panic when it does.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
