I'm here (a 12 day graduate!) but not posting much. The Mollyfrog's far more work than the Bellyfrog, and noisier too.
I'm seething with envy at Tia, who got an unfeasible amount of uninterrupted sleep. We gave in last night and gave the monster a pacifier. It'll only be for night time, but we really wanted to do without. Trouble is she has a set of visible front teeth already and is drooly and drizzly. It saves me wandering about having her clamped to my nipples all day.
Have seen a high chair just like the Stokke Tripp Trapp I've been lusting after in the Jojo Maman Bebe catalogue, for £70 so technically free with my vouchers. The only problem is that we can't use the gift vouchers online
TMI Edit: I took my pooping problem to the doctor, who told me to drink more water (it had been a week since I last went and I was in agony). And then she gave me a pack of iron tablets in case I was anaemic. I don't think so, crazy lady! I solved the problem in the traditional German way and will never speak of it again.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

thats just near me! unfortunately no beaches are very quiet round here at this time of year cos people flock down, but on weekdays they tend to be quieter. the nicest beach around, no contest, is west witterings near chichester, its lovely and sandy and absolutely huge, it stretches for miles and when the tide is out its almost as long that way! sometimes hill head near gosport is quieter but isnt as nice a beach, its all stoney. and apparantly theres a nice quiet beach called the titchfield haven which is also near gosport, but i've never been there. my nan goes every thursday for her painting/coffee class :rotfl: HTH
Lovely stuff! OH mentioned yesterday that he hasn't seen the sea for a while, so we might drive down and have a paddle. Will give those suggestions to him, he likes to avoid people. Toby hasn't seen the seen before!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

But seriously £12 is a bit much for a bit of fabric with elastic at the bottom
No it isn't honestly!

I'll invest in some applesI must be drinking 3-4 litres of water every day, I just don't know where it's going
What amused me was that I was complaining about not being able to go, and she gave me something that virtually guarantees to prevent you going. I'm definitely not anaemic, either.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

It's not uncommon after a section. Can you buy dried prunes there? Most dried fruit would help. Failing that, then traditional remedies involving senna? The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -

I'm going to have to go on a high-prune diet, although I'm also concerned about the effect it'll have on my milk. The infant has absolutely no problems in that regard and if she goes any more often there'll be no point in feeding her because it'll just fall straight through her :rotfl:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

good morning
babies having nightmares...
anyone know what the general good advice is? Our hunch is not to wake him, but do speak gently to him and very softly pat his tummy. (my hope is that like when an adult will include a real life noise into a dream - like a dog barking, a baby will do it too, so mummy will turn up and make the bad things go away!)
What do you all do?
DustyKitten, fergie is 5.5 months too, and also in with us stillI don't mind it at the moment, but I think we'll move him soon (6/7 months?) because I want to watch tv in my room and read books and [STRIKE]row with DH[/STRIKE] have heated debates, all without waking fergie. Selfish mummy!
Well I'm off to a car boot sale. I may still look for a walker on wheels, but I did very much appreciate all the thoughts on those, and will make sure I can adjust the height so his feet are on the floor, and limit the time usage
Still feel really far from weanable here... Have tried putting some food objects in his hand, but he doesn't bring them to his mouth. Obviously not ready yet! No worries, he's not been waking due to hunger or anything yet... So I'll wait a bit. It sounds like quite a messy stage, so I'll enjoy my clean kitchen floor a while longer
Love to all,
Weezl x
Hi Weezl
1. I love that you turned DribbleKitten into DustyKitten :rotfl: I don't know why but it really tickles me
2. Nightmares and night-time cries etc, we try to ignore if it doesn't sound too intense as he has a tendency to wake at any entry at all let alone being patted, but beyond a certain point we take the risk! Doing our best not to wake him, but usually he wakes a little and gets soothed back down.
3. Weaning - totally, no point worrying about it til he's ready. We started Elijah a little after 6 months and he was just fine with that!0 -
Sugarspun - congratulations on the safe arrival of your Mollyfrog.
DD really surprised me this morning by not waking up until 9.50. Even after a late night the latest she normally wakes up is 8.30.
One load of washing on the line - how long it's stays there I'm not sure as it's looking like rain and another load in the machine, which leaves just one load left.
