    Still feel really far from weanable here... Have tried putting some food objects in his hand, but he doesn't bring them to his mouth. Obviously not ready yet! No worries, he's not been waking due to hunger or anything yet... So I'll wait a bit. It sounds like quite a messy stage, so I'll enjoy my clean kitchen floor a while longer :)

    Sounds like Fergie is happy with his milk at the moment. I can't see the point of pushing it if he is not interested. Mel was right though - be careful about putting food in their hand to start with...nothing small or chokable!! Veg in big chip shapes is best!
    Benjamin spent ages sucking on a whole raw carrot before we gave him anything that he could actually eat ;)
    Maybe being on here isn't such a great idea after all, as it makes me spill out all my fears :confused:

    Tescos own brand are as good as the top makes, we are on a bit of a pampers kick at the moment because we have had some vouchers and there have been some good offers but when we need own brand ones we use the active baby ones (cant remember if they are the green or the purple)
    never had any problems with them
    theyre purple (and cause the worst nappy rash on chris :()
    The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

    costco is great for reductions on branded nappies, do you know anyone with a card locally SM?

    They come in bulk buy amounts so it's handy if you can work out how many you need of each size. I worked it out for my boots ones using the centile chart in the red book. Happy to explain more if anyone would find this useful for nappy buying in large quantities :)

    Well, we support Exeter. 3 games, 1 league defeat and draw and a cup defeat. Saying that, i'm amazed we have hit League One. Two seasons ago, we were Conference. Plus we have played 3 tough teams and in the league, played well. Will likely go down, but who knows!

    Don't know much about Exeter, but best of luck for the season :)
    Sunderland could have a decent season. My only worry would be Steve Bruce jumping ship, as he often does.

    I'm a little worried about that too, although he's got the finances and backroom support there looking after him.

    I really can't stand bairns who jump on the bandwaggon and support Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool etc., even though they don't come from that area and never attend any of the games. It's your duty to get them addicted to Exeter :D

    Tesco Essentials (green packet) are great. We use them most of the time and never had any problems with them, and they're cheaper than Tesco Active (purple packet).

    My Mam keeps nappies at her house as Charlotte goes there when I'm working, and she wasn't keen on Sainsburys. I'm not sure what the packet was like, but the nappies were white with a green top and a green leaf print on them. They often leaked on her, so she buys Huggies now.

    thank you guys ... nah no costco near me i live on a hill outside of the city centre and i dont drive makes things abit difficult... alot of people giving tescos ones a thumbs up may have to give them a try .....

    on a bright note all my shopping came :) not one thing replaced or left thats never happened before :rotfl: £123 for the month and my cupboards, fridge and freezers are fit to burst i dont know how people spend double that in a week :confused: x

    oh dear Sami will have to do some budgeting next year!
    Just checked the bank and the new WTC and CTC figures are in, WTC down 250ish but CTC up 260ish (but obviously you get double for a baby so will be alot less next year!) and I'm guessing we'll get less of the basic them if hubby's wages go up (which I know they will unless something goes very wrong) so we'll get even less
    I'm not complaining just coming to a realisation that I can't keep spending like I do!

    We buy lots of crap we don't really need and end up throwing stuff away :o
    Right I'm off to sainsbury's to hopefully get some tops that don't flash my boobs everytime I lean forward!

    its ok if you use it sami but i cant stand waste ... when i go to people's house and see what they throw away it drives me mental ... like my aunt she feeds my cousins big meals (and i do mean big) bear in mind she lets them eat crap all day so they dont even finish half of it then they eat more crap at 9pm when i was still full from dinner and then you see them throw away half a roast dinner ... i nearly shouted i had toleave the room and call philip to calm down ...

    sorry rant over just really gets to me x

    TMI Edit: I took my pooping problem to the doctor, who told me to drink more water (it had been a week since I last went and I was in agony). And then she gave me a pack of iron tablets in case I was anaemic. I don't think so, crazy lady! I solved the problem in the traditional German way and will never speak of it again.

    Trust me, I'm not happy about it, I was in a panic this morning when I realised!

    About pooping, I had terrible diadiddly after DS2 and not so bad diadiddly this time too. :rolleyes: But weeing hurts due to the sheer volume of wee! I'm drinking a lot but all my swelling is going down too.

    ManOTMoon, yes, nighclasses have a lot of homework, think of it, they have a whole course to learn in 2-3 hours a week. Most of it is done at home, self-study.

    DH is driving me mad, he has been in a bad mood since he came to pick us up at the hospital, that was made worse by the 6 hour wait. Now when isn't sitting on his !!!! he is marching about !!!!!ing at me about things being in his way. Well it was you who left the 2 tubs of dog food sitting in the kitchen! I asked him to clean the loo on Friday night after DS1 was sick (was all round the rim) he said he'd do it. On Saturday morning I asked if he had done it, he said he couldn't see anything ?? really? so when I cleaned it I was imagining the various bodily fluids that were splattered everywhere? And he is sitting up till god knows when at night and not getting out his bed till midday. So much for a helping hand! :mad::mad::mad: And he's just constantly barking at me. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10.....
