well I wasn't looking at celeb's kids but...
yep! Edgar Samuel is/was a renowned jewish historian and Edgar is cathy's dad in wuthering heights.

When I google "Rhys Alary" I got loads of news stories about a footballer called Rhys and his salary :p

Edgar Allan Poe is called Edgar. *beam* Does it help that Celia was sort of named after Celia Imrie and Thora Hird? I know that's technically not just the one celebrity but will it do?

Speaking of Her Grand High Milkiness she appears to be TEETHING! Occasionally she'll burst into tears for no reason, she's dribbing like a river and rather snotty. She's got the nappy rash to end all nappy rashes (actually it's not that bad but it's the worst she had, I nearly went out and ordered some morhulin but it's started clearing up thankfully). Sunday night she was up about every hour and last night approxmiately every ten minutes  Many many teeth coming through vibes please! (many vibes that is not many teeth!)

She's currenbtly chewing her sock in a miserable fashion poor lamb.

[STRIKE]Does anyone else dislike the new page navigation?[/STRIKE] Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like it.

I had to tell OH about the blink murder as when he walked in the room I was crying with laughter.

Glad to hear that Alice isn't the only small child to come up with weird things like baby brothers.

Whoever wants to go to the zoo, would a farm do? They tend to be cheaper. Or is there anything else you could visit that has animals. We have an annual ticket to Beamish and mainly go to the bits with the animals because that's what Alice likes.

I think Lidl must be Alice's favourite supermarket. She sings almost continuously the whole way round which she never does in any of the others.
By the by, I was meaning to ask, I noticed some people who BF, babies get thrush. Is it only females (babys)who get the thrush? Also why do they get it? Just curious, as I didn't even know you could get it in your mouth :o

I've had thrush twice in my life (from antibiotics) and Jesus christ it's TERRIBLE! Makes you wanna claw your bits out, and how expensive is that cream...
I believe one way babies can get it is if you have it then they can get it from you when they are being born.

You should go to the doctor so you can get a prescription.

Anyway, just remembered, there was mention last night about codine for csection pain - I was on that, prescribed by the consultant, then told to stop taking it by the midwife because you can't take it whilst breastfeeding!
 I had codeine because of my episiotomy.

hi ladies! i had charlie at the doctor this morning and he is being refered to the hospital, there was a note from the doctor when he was admitted last year when he had an asthma attack stating that he was extremly energetic and that it may be something to look into? this was news to me??

Also the new HV came out as the doctor told her i needed extra support and to see someone asap. She is really lovely and listened to everything i had to say. she is going to come out weekly and is away to help set up stratigies to help control charlie. She explained that with autism/adhd/behaviour disorders that it is very important that we keep his blood sugar levels up and not to let them dip as this can be when they lash out and become wild. feel a lot better that they are listening and actually willing to help me!
am going off to google kids names now lol!

Patsy Palmer has a Charlie! :D

Good news that they're taking notice of Charlie. I agree completely with the food issue. With DS's autism, we have to be really careful that he eats regularly and take care with sugars/colourings etc as they really affect his behaiviour!
With certain things with lots of colouring, his ears instantly go bright red and he goes nuts! We first saw this when he was a baby, and someone gave him a little pack of smarties out of a christmas cracker. Within 5 minutes he was crawling up and down the kitchen at double speed screeching with laughter!

Random thought, how long can you freeze weaning foods for? Just thought of a use for some of the excess from FIL's allotment.. We won't be weaning for probably another three months at least though (need to ask the specialists on Thursday because there was a mention of no bananas as weaning foods because of the potassium ).

Oh god, don't give me a new thing to feel bad about, Elijah loves bananas more than anything and eats about 1 a day...

Sounds very similar to Elijah for much of the time for the last month  we keep thinking it seems like teething, but no new teeth come...

I was named for Giordano Bruno (the italian monk/philosopher burnt at the stake for saying that the earth went round the sun and so forth), and the character Bruno from Sylvie & Bruno (book by Lewis Carroll). Not many people can say that! Elijah however was named because we quite liked the name ;) not after anyone.

Susan - I don't have thrush ATM, I was just curious as I'd never heard of thrush being anywhere but your privates before. I learn something new on this thread all the time :D I remember when I did have thrush, I got a script from the doctor but it was for a pill, I had to pay £7 for that ONE TINY PILL, and then however much pounds the canestan was.

Luckily the script charges in Scotland are now £4, and I think next year they are doing away with it completely, and I'm sure it's from 2010, all primary school children years 1-3 get free lunches regardless of income, right when Keira starts......

I remember when I left primary school, my sister started at P1 at the same time. When I left school dinner tickets were 95p, when she left they were something ridiculous like £1.55.

Anyone got a little one at primary who buys school dinners? I'm curious to know what they are charging nowadays.

OH went to a tiny little school, 30 pupils for the whole P1 - P7, there was only him and 1 other boy in his class. Anyhow, he drools when he talks about his school dinners, they used to get 3rd and 4th helpings as there was so much, and all the other leftovers went to some nursing home or something. Imagine that.....no wonder he looked like a chubby version of the Haribo kid when he was young! All those puddings.

Impressive! I'd assumed Bruno wasn't your real name! :o

Elijah always makes me think of Elijah Blue! Does he have a middle name?
