    Hey Sami on your search for celebrity namesakes, have you found any celebrity babies called Edgar?

    I'd heard of Violet Grohl (Dave Grohl's daughter), but have since found Violet Afleck and Violet Beckwith!

    .. Elle - Four weeks has gone quick! Good luck for jabs, hope it goes well. Tobes has his 16 week ones next week, not looking forward to it. You mentioned about when to 'Hang up the horns' - I just set myself little goals - I think my main one was to get him to his 16 week jabs. That felt manageable and a good thing to aim for. I don't know how long I could have carried on expressing, some ladies do go for 1-2 years, but it is hard work. I'm sure any doctor who has pumped exclusively themselves wouldn't make you feel bad! It is hard to appreciate just how time consuming and difficult it is.

    The expressing isn't so bad right now whilst Rhys sleeps a lot of the time, it's when he's bigger and wanting to play more that I can see it being more trouble timewise.

    Random thought, how long can you freeze weaning foods for? Just thought of a use for some of the excess from FIL's allotment.. We won't be weaning for probably another three months at least though (need to ask the specialists on Thursday because there was a mention of no bananas as weaning foods because of the potassium :confused:).

  • Boo hiss - I don't like this proper working lark...I don't have time to catch up properly.

    I have come into hubbys office today to finally put this tender to bed (cross fingers!) and I am just eating a subway that hubby got me so I thought I would poke my nose in ;)

    Feely - go!! Clinics are all different but at ours the HV is making her notes etc whilst I undress Benjamin and get him back dressed again. I go at the end of the clinic because it is less busy - there is always a rush at the start and you have to pretend all the other babies are beautiful :rotfl:

    LOL at Bruno - I wouldn't rub the babies faces together either!!

    Still a ways to go then :(

    Thanks! I can't believe how shy they were to give me painkillers. Ibuprofen the day after a C section, and I had to plead for more on day 2.

    I had the opposite problem. They told me I HAD to take them before the pain set in for as long as my supply lasted (2 weeks) - I had strong Ibuprofen, strong paracetamol and dihydratcodine :eek: turns out the last one is a milk inhibitor - not helping my lack of milk as it was. (sorry - will stop on that rant now!) I would contact your GP if you are in pain. It's 6 months now for me and it's sometimes uncomfortable if I am really tired, but never sore enough to warrant a paracetamol ;)

    We've just put Alice into a bed. We bought a safety gate but then discovered we have metal door frames so OH needs to get a special drill bit to be able to fit it so have gone for the temporary solution of a sawn off broom handle under the door handle. (We're not so bothered about the evening as we can send her back to bed but I don't think I'd be able to sleep at night knowing she could get out and get anywhere in the house in the middle of the night.)

    While we were looking at the safety gates in Mothercare, Alice was wandering around the crib/moses basket/cot section and I just kept looking round the corner to make sure she was okay. The first time I checked she was checking out the moses baskets while saying, "Little brother, little brother, little brother." She also sometimes claims that "Baby sister" is outside and we need to let her in and then is quite sad and says, "Baby sister gone" when we open the front door and show her that no one is there. Has anyone elses child randomly started talking about baby brothers and sisters? I'm worried she'll do it in front of people we know and that they'll then jump to wrong conclusions.

    She's also rather randomly declared that she and I have chickenpox and need to rest. :confused: OH asked hopefully whether he has it but was given a very authoritative "No".

    :eek::rotfl: Alice makes me laugh.

    OMG - I am hoping that Benjamin never comes out with creepy stuff like that.

    I remember hubby getting really upset one weekend a few years ago because DSS closed his eyes and said 'I'll kill myself' :eek:

    Hubby was panicking...when I was chatting to DSS trying to establish what he had been up to (thinking he had been watching something inappropriate on the TV) it turns out that they had been playing 'Blink Murder' at scouts and he was trying to play it on his own :rotfl::rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:how sweet is your DSS:D
