Haha, they just got up a few minutes ago and strolled in, both chattering about what a great sleep they had had in their new pyjamas:rotfl:

    Morning

I can't remember how long I fed Joshua. I think it just tailed off as he started eating more food - around 9 months to a year-ish.

I had to stop feeding James around 3 months, partly because he was extremely hungry and I wasn't producing enough milk to fill him so he was on half formula and half breast, then I got a nasty chest infection. I noticed the milk wasn't creamy any more at any part of the feed - it just looked like cloudy water and it didn't fill him as no matter how long he sucked, he still wanted more! I decided it was better just to put him on formula. It must have been the right thing to do as I never got the full boob feeling when I stopped.

Charlotte was the same as Joshua and just started dropping the breast milk when she was eating three meals a day. We were going on holiday when she was a year old, and I wanted normal boobies in my bikini rather than leaky milky ones :o

Charlotte just got up and came into bed with me for a cuddle, then the next thing I knew the other two had followed. It was a bit of a squash with 4 in the bed :D
Here I go again on my own....

We gave Caitlyn a bottle of formula last night before bed last night. DH thinks it means she will cry less. Actually she is good at night, we had a bad day with her being unsettled most of the day yesterday. Anyway I'd BF her then DH gave her the bottle. I said she'd probably not take much, but she actually had 3oz so that pleased him  Then she fell asleep and he said 'what do we say to mummy? I told you so' The look I gave him could have struck him down there and then, so he said 'we want you to have both'. I've told him that I am NOT stopping BF and I am ok with ONE bottle of formula. Then she woke up so I just smiled. oh, and get this, he said 'well she doesn't get 4oz off you does she?' I said 'she gets enough, you don't know how much she's getting.' He said 'well you didn't express much the other day' so I informed him that babies are a better pump than a plastic one. When I read this back it makes him sound like a right to$$er!

Caitlyn is now fast asleep after having boobie at night and this morning. Going to take her to be weighed tomorrow so I'm sure I'll be proved right!

Just wanted to say a quick hello, OH is off all week so Im not on as much!

Mel I know what you mean I can hear Joshua has been up for about 20 minutes, but still hasnt come downstairs.... This is the child that tries to get up at 4.45 / 5.00 am every morning with me and the baby (but I put him back in bed) But he is always down here just before 7 am

We went to Chester Zoo yesterday in the lovely weather! Was fun though and Lexi seemed to like the elephants!

OH is on baby sitting duties this afternoon while I go and get my nails done woohoo! He has also got up Sunday and Monday at 5 with the bambino. I was really stuggling, was stupidly tired to the point I was having trouble using my left hand it was shaking so much, Im putting it down to tiredness, as I have been going to bed at 12 - 1ish and getting up at 5, then running round after the kids all day!

Hugs to you all and hope you all have a nice day!

PS congrats on the granny status Tara

Oooh the zoo (I wonder how far you are from me then)

I really want to have a trip to the zoo, but dh isn't that keen on it. We can only afford to do one trip out somewhere before the kids go back and are struggling to agree on something. Might just end up going to the rake Hall Pub for dinner one day...the kids love it there:D

Can I join the boob woes? I have mastitis in both sides. Got anti-b but that, lack of sleep, Amber still on a drip in special care, being stuck in here and general fed upness is making me really... well, fed up.

Oh and she hasn't had a poo sine the 7th (I know how you like to be kept up to date poo wise) so awaiting an explosive one!

    Missing my boys too.

I was given a medela harmony pump by special care to help, it is amazing! I totally love it. hink its been the metal hospital pump that has caused the mastitis.
