The question is starting to bug me...I don't want to stop and the thought of saying no to my little boy makes me want to cry....but I don't want to be feeding a walking, talking toddler either. I'm just not progressive enough for that
Spooky - we posted at the same time, about sort of the same thing!:beer:0 -

3 - how strange!! Great minds
I hope that wasn't why Benjamin wouldn't go to bed last night
I have just expressed 5 1/2 oz which is slightly down on normal but still pretty good. I do worry about my supply sometimes though....but I always have cartons of formula in just in case.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
I know with El my boobs were always full and that is no joke, I only wish I'd known about milk banks.
She weaned herself. One day she just decided she didn't want it. If memory serves me right I think that was around 9 months she just did not want it any more not even at bedtime. So I was lucky she decided for herself so it wasn't emotional for me stopping or anything as she knew she was finished. I continued to try her with formula but she refused this. HV said not to worry as long as she was eating and drinking well, which she was.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
My plan was always to a year, then switch to night feeds only.
..
I could quite happily do the first thing and/or last thing feeds for another 6 months.......but is that possible? Would you still produce enough milk?
Has anyone done it?
A mum I know says she did the night feeds until her daughter was 4 1/2! (Yes, she was still waking through the night for boobie!!):beer:0 -

Hmmm - Benjamin has been waking at 4.30am for a boobie for the past couple of weeks. Nothing else will settle him yet I know he is not really hungry.
I was thinking that I will continue to feed him whilst he is waking in the night but if that can go on for years I will definitely need to knock it on the head somehow.
He is sleeping from 7pm til 4.30am though so I can't really complain(apart from last night and don't I know that he missed a couple of hours sleep last night - he has been a miserable little a$$ all day :rotfl:)

When I said night feeds, I meant the last one before bed.. Please God lets not talk about the concept of sleepless nights going on more than another few months! :eek:0
