Can I ask how long everyone plans to BF? Or what you have done in the past...
The question is starting to bug me...I don't want to stop and the thought of saying no to my little boy makes me want to cry....but I don't want to be feeding a walking, talking toddler either. I'm just not progressive enough for thatplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

And a huge pile of baby stuff to pass on!
Anyone who's still about......how do you go about finishing b/f ing?
I'm not trying too, but since weaning, and my night out on Thursday we're a bit messed up.
When I went out, i'd fed her all day as usual, til I dropped her at mums at 5pm. I didn't get her back til 1pm the next day, and didn't express or leak and although I expected my boobs to be huge, hard and painful, they weren't! They were full, but comfortably so.
Sunday I fed as usual first thing, then she had food breakfast at 9am. Then at about 11.30, when she normally has a milk feed, she had a proper fight with the boobie. We struggled for about half an hour of her screaming/sucking/fighting and so on! I gave upand gave her a bottle of formula, 7oz, which she guzzled.
By late afternoon feed time, she was happy with the boobie again.
But at bedtime feed time, she hated the boobie.
We've had pretty much the same pattern today. I've not fed her myself since about 2pm, and i'm not feeling full/hard.
Is this the b/f coming to a natural end?
(I know i've done this twice before, but i can't remember!)

My plan was always to a year, then switch to night feeds only.
I guess now it depends if Rhys makes more of a move towards breastfeeding or not. Don't know if I can express for another nine months, but then on the other hand I don't think it'll go down well with the docs if I don'tThe stuff we add to his milk can actually be used instead of formula powder and mixed with water instead of EBM so there is that if all else fails..
