3, thanks for the info on the bugs thing. Aimee will love that and we already planned to go to the docks next week!

I don't get flustered by the baby / 5yo screaming when we're out... I tend to just phase them out and carry on doing what I have to do... Other people can stare all they all they want, it doesn't bother me... Does that make me a bad mother?
That makes you as cool as a cucumber!

I notice there is a cheaper ticket price for "Seniors, Students, Unwaged" now I am 'unwaged' (what a funny expresion!) but how could I prove it

No Krystal not at all, sorry if thats how it came across. Normally I dont get bothered by baby screaming at home and family and friends... Its just when Im out especially shopping I have all the oldies staring at me and some of them tut at me and make me feel like the worst mother in the world!
I make like caz and end up coming home without half the stuff I needed :rotfl:

Krystal, I'm like you, I remember Jasmine throwing a tantrum in Woolworths cuz I wouldnt buy her a toy. She sat down in the middle of the shop and screamed blue murder.
People came specifically to where we were to see what was going on, and I just stood there looking at the toys etc... and payed no attention to her at all :p
A few people asked if she was mine, and I just said, 'she will be when she stops screaming her head off' :rotfl: Dont think the old ladies like that sort of reply :D

Me too :D Just need to do some shopping now!

Rhys started randomly bawling and managed to get my little finger in his mouth, manically sucking  I wrestled it back, gave him his dummy and went to make up his bottle, came back to find his dummy fallen out then watched him hold it and put it back in.. I'm probably being daft and he should have done it weeks ago, but I'm impressed! :o Might leave him with his dummy in the night if he can settle himself with it!

My garden is full of drying baby clothes! :D Just need to get the proper washing line up for full cutesy effect! :o

I always used to cringe when I saw friends babies crying their head off and my friend ignoring it, but actually it's quite easy to carry on through it when you know why they're wingeing - usually with Rhys it's not liking the process of getting dressed/undressed.

3 - I'm glad you had a long chat with him and that things are kinda sorted - it will take time I'm sure but hopefully you can work through it :)
I know DH was struggling with me being pregnant as he just freaked about having sex whilst the Roo was in there... I can see how they might flip a little as their world gets turned upside down and suddenly stops evolving round them ;)

DS sometimes screams or is upset about something when we are out. He ran off down a pavement recently, ignoring my FIRM voice, so I grabbed him,and sat him on the pavement. I then turned my back to him (whilst standing almost in front of him so I could grab him if necessary),and phoned DH for a chat/distraction. Once I'd finished the call I knelt down to DS, asked him what he'd done that was naughty, he told me 'ran away', gave me a hug and a kiss, and walked nicely back to the car with me.

I'm averaging these situations about twice a week now ...:D

ooh forgot earlier too, those of you that use quidco; have you seen the free orange SIM in Martin's mailout? you get £1.50 cashback for getting something for free :T even if you don't use it thats £1.50 for a few clicks. It has £5 credit too so either use for orange wednesdays or just use it up for txt comps or something :)

Does my head in when people stare or tut... It's not like my child is the first to whinge and moan and she certainly won't be the last... But I'm bolshy so if someone did pass comment I'd probably be sarcastic back to them... In all honesty I would rather mine was throwing a tantrum because I won't let her have / do something than just letting her run riot and do what she liked like a lot of children you see about... There was a woman on the bus the other day letting her son climb all over the backs of the seats with a lollipop in his mouth and her daughter was standing on the seats poking her arms out of the window?! This was a moving bus! The woman just sat there watching and didn't say a word... To me that is far more unacceptable than ignoring a tantrum...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    LOL :rotfl::rotfl:

I remember taking my little sister shopping to town when I was about 17, so she was probably about 18 months old. She had a proper lying on the floor kicking tantrum because I wouldn't buy her an old ladies fur hat!
I got some very strange looks and tuts from people obvously assuming I was an unfit teenage mother! :rotfl:

I'm very calm now! I remember wanting to scream at people years ago, coming home from holiday when DS was just 4, and Liv was a few months old. As the plane landed, DS started screaming (part of his autism is very sensitive ears/hearing - so obviously the landing hurt!). He stayed screaming while the plane stopped, and while everyone jumped up off their seats to stand in the aisle to wait for the doors to open (as they do!). People were just stood in the aisle, staring and tutting at me and my screaming toddler! No-one thought to move out of the way so we could get him off the plane to calm him down!

Now he's 12 and looks like a normal 12 year old boy, we get lots of stares/tuts when he's having a 'moment'. He often throws himself to the floor screeching when something upsets him - and because he looks 'normal' everyone assumes he's just an oversized brat! Someone did give me some cards to hand out to people with a really sarcastic explaination on them, somthing like 'I apologise if my child is upsetting you - he has autism/learning difficulties and doesn't mean to cause offence!'
