Another reason not to get pregnant while I'm still breastfeeding - all the drowsy anti-histamines are unsuitable for breastfeeding but they are the only ones considered safe in pregnancy.

oh yeah, I wanted your opinions, in tesco today Ed was crying while I was packing the shopping and some woman came and stroked his cheek and held his hand, now I don't like this at the best of times but with swine flu seemingly everywhere I REALLY don't want anyone touching my baby boy. so my questions is what would you do?
Internet shopping and put him in a sling when you go real shopping. That's what I did although I wasn't particularly doing it to stop people touching my baby - it was just what I did.

You lot are mad - I can't believe you were up at 1am!

MFD, its lovely to read how well you all get on as an extended family.

Hope DSS had a fab day and I would so be crying buckets at 'The Time of Your Life' too!! :o

And a big ':T' to Benjamin!

    xx

SB I was thinking the same thing :D
    Evening everyone :D
Well, I have had a tiring day, we went to the amusements and spent money we dont really have :o, then we had a chippy for dinner, it was yummy.
When we came home, Dylan wouldnt stop crying for love nor money  He wasnt hungry, wasnt tired, didnt have a dirty bum, nothing !! But after about 40 mins, he just stopped  Then Jasmine refused to go to bed, and after a lot of shouting, and crying, and threats of not being allowed to play tomorrow if she didnt go straight to sleep, she finally went over at 11.30
Chris has been vomiting for the last 3 hours as well, so I am having to do everything by myself !!
Dont think he is really sick, just a bit of an upset tummy, but with his Chrons, that can mean a day or two of being sick  Great

Hope everyone else is OK :D

when my days get really tough I do try to remind myself that one can't be that hard - Caz has 5. it usually makes me realise that I need to relax a little!

We've started using the naughty stair with Charlotte after seeing it on Supernanny. It goes work and when she's in a mad tantrum, putting her on there till she calms down does work.

I forgot to tell my parents I was doing it. My Dad told her off for something yesterday morning, so she marched out of the sitting room and put herself on the naughty step :rotfl:

becles - your Charlotte is soooo cute. She gets cuter everytime you post! How do you do it????:rotfl: I'm looking forward to that stage

well second night of LO sleeping through the night - yippeeee. She was a dream girl yesterday. All that sleep did her the world of good, nap times weren't a fight and we had such fun. She rolled herself across the room for ages and is now sitting up for long periods of time. I generally had overwhelming bursts of love for her all day :D

we have baby class this lunchtime and then friends over for a 'playdate' (I hate that word!) two boys - she's flirting at a young age!!!

My little sister is coming to stay tomorrow for a couple of nights which will be lovely - I'm going to try and convince DH she's capable of loking after LO when she's asleep for the night and take MFD's advice and go to the pub!!!

    Morning all
DIY really isn't my forte, I am not trying to write a guide! I was following careful instructions from a friend as it was, and it took me about 2 hours. I shan't be doing much of it! The box itself is ok though, but I need to sand down some rough edges before Elijah works out how to open it.

Crashed by about 10 last night to try to catch up, and luckily was a fairly good night - he went through to about 4.15am when I heard whimpering, went in to find him crawling feebly round and round the cot moaning :| this time I just carried him to bed and stuck him on OH and fell asleep again ;p which worked cuz she dropped him back in bed and he slept til after 7. So not too bad and I feel much more alive today!

That reflux-baby shaped cosy thing looks great Sami, we'd have got it 6 or 9 months ago for sure.

OH is very happy the last few days, she has discovered our council's free "1'o'clock clubs" for under-4s, which among other things all have these awesome 'sensory rooms' suitable for crawlers and toddlers with things to spin and press and glow and beep etc, fully-padded for maximum crawl safety. This is excellent as it gives her a reason to walk a mile and a half most days, and a chance for them both to meet new babies and mums :) and Elijah finds it very exciting!
Are these common things? Does everyone have them/go to them? Or is everywhere different in what sorts of stuff is out there?

r.mac we have good days and bad days like the rest. i have been rtying to be more organised and instead of leaving something until later i have been trying to do it straight away. sounds silly but it makes my life easier. you adapt little ways that work for you. we do have erin/charlie scream for no reason and there is no settling them, so ihave started putting them in their beds and that seems to either make them go to sleep or realise they arent going to get any attention lol!

we are all tired today as the thumder and lightening scared the kids a bit(possibly me to!) it was really bad never seen anything like it! so have all the shopping to get today and i have run everything really low so its gonna cost a fortune!!
What's for you won't go past you

    :)

I hope this works. I love Beatrix Potter and Annabel's room is lemon with Petter rabbit pictures, a wall hanging and cot quilt (which we actually use as a playmat!). She also has a knitted Peter rabbit :D I made the blind before she was born. I'm dreading the day she asks for a pink room :o

doing these pictures has taken me ages - there must be a quicker way (IT gurus where are you???)

Morning ladies. Very envious of your craft work, I'm not at all like that. Legacy of depression, I'm still not very good at doing things. I just focus on getting out of bed, cooking and looking after the baby.

Plumber came to look at my toilet on Monday, and while he was here he sneezed. He laughed and said 'Don't worry, its Hayfever, I've not got Swine Flu!', and we had a laugh about it. Phonecall from Agent today, plumber isn't coming back as planned, he actually does have swine flu. So my staying in hasn't worked, I've exposed my baby! I really hope he'll be okay. No temperature, but he is stuffy nosed and a bit grumpy. Am I only supposed to do things if he has a temperature?
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.

It has been noted after knowing you on here and seeing you in RL for a couple of hours - you are quite germ-concious aren't you! :D
I know when Joe was a baby, we went shopping to Aldi, when the only local Aldi was in Birkenhead North (famous for being the scummiest town on earth!), and a dirty smack-rat woman came over and touched him  - I was horrified and wanted to take him home and bleach him. :rotfl: I'm a lot less bothered now - as long as Violet is eating the dog, I don't think a human touch is going to harm her!
Well we have had a busy day and Benjamin has been an absolute angel! He slept til 7.05am (from 7pm ) but I think that was injection induced! He fed, slept til 9am, fed, stayed in bed with daddy whilst mummy had a soak in the bath (and went to sleep with daddy yay!). He then had a bath with daddy before we all pottered off to DSS's leaving service - he left the school he has been in since reception class today to go to middle school. Incidentally, the service was in the church that DH married his first wife who sat with us but nobody mentioned it :rotfl:

The service was ace - the Year 4's (who were leaving - there is only 10 of them) sang 'The Time of Your Life' by Green Day which had us in tears!!!
Benjamin slept in my arms for most of the service - some mean feat when there is singing and clapping going on!!
Then back to Ex-Wifeys Parents house where Benjamin turned on the charm for all 4 generations of her family :D

We then went for an early dinner at a nice country pub (I know 3!!! :o) where B sat nicely and watched us eat. THEN to see Great Niece - more sleeping from Benjamin :D

Haven't heard from 3 as such but she did take Violet swimming today as planned...she posted the pics on FB.

Pub again? - No comment

I love how you and the ex-family get on so well! :D Having an ex-from-hell of my own, and working dealing with bitter-twisted split up people, I know that people getting on is definately not the norm! :T

Weezl You're so clever! :T I have a sewing machine but apart from shortening some curtains and making some cushion covers, it's been living in its cupboard under the stairs for years!

Still catching up - but i'll be back soon. x
