    Morning all,

Feely, symptoms list for children here - http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Pandemic-flu/Pages/QA.aspx#child

I too am very jealous of your craft skills! I couldn't do anything like that - don't have the patience for a start! :o

I did the night feeds last night and I feel fine. I thought I was sleeping through because I was shattered but I think it was actually because I knew I could cos Craig was there. When I said I'd do them last night, I woke up before each feed was due, just as Rhys was waking up :D Again, he's been snacky through the night, just didn't want a full feed although he's had one this morning.

Think we're going to go for a walk to the Post Office later.. Am getting cold feet about going into town on my own for the first time! :o

Still in PJs now. Am proud of myself that I've had breakfast before 10am.. Anything else today is a bonus! :D

Sami, have you been to Gullivers World? My Childrens Centre is running a trip there next month. Poppy loves Dora!

I may have when I was iccle, I hate anything remotely rollercoasterish so we didn't go to places like that much, we did however used to make an anual pilgramige to albert docks, I'm sure I used to know of by heart the complete history of the slave trade through those docks!:rotfl:

We went to Gullivers last year - its ok for the little'uns - but don't expect any thrilling rollercoasters for the grown-ups, if thats what you're in to.

Sami - have you seen the new thing at the Albert Dock? Only just opened. It might be Christophers type of thing........

Thanks everyone for missing me and caring! :D

We went swimming as planned yesterday, Violet loved it even though it was bl00dy freezing! She had a good splash and lasted 20 minutes before she got fed up. She fell asleep on the changing table as soon as i'd dressed her when we got out - and stayed asleep for 2 hours which is totally unheard of in Violet world!

Got home to a letter for OH from the Police tests he went to last weekend so I emailed him to tell him it was here. He asked me to open it - he passed! :T Just a formal interview to get through now, and fitness/medical tests which he should be fine with.

Had a very strange night - no internet and no telly - just a very long chat!
He's very ashamed of what he did - and while its no excuse, he was feeling lonely and left out as I was busy being pregnant/asleep! (Poor him!) He feels an absolute t!t, and completely understands why I want to cut his nuts off!! :rotfl:
Not really sure where we go from here! While I don't think its a splitable offence i'm still incredibly pi55ed off with him for being so bl00dy selfish/male/stupid!

    Morning all!

I have caught up honest, just cannot remember anything I wanted to say - sorry my mind is just elsewhere right now!

    Briefly -

3 Hope your feeling better and managed to chat things through, know how you are feeling I think as have had similar but not the same issues in the past x

Some of you are so talented, I have all these lovely ideas and then never put them into action but now that the summer holidays is here I hope to be able too! Going to buy a sewing machine me thinks! ;)

Feely, hope Toby is ok with his sniffles, its just awful when bubas are not well. I am no expert but if your at all worried about him ring your GP or NHS direct - even if its just to put your mind at rest although Im sure he will be fine and dandy in a day or two :D

Sami with regards to people touching the baby, the exact same thing happened to me the other day! Was packing shopping and some lady came over as Lexi was turning beetroot with her efforts at screaming the glass out of the windows! I get kind of embarrassed when she screams and although I didnt like it she was only trying to help...I just packed the bags faster and got out of there as quickly as possible!

Ok so heres one for you all, I need to go shopping today and last time I went I had one of those stupid trolleys that you pop the car seat on top of. Lexi screamed for the whole time of us being out - she hates her car seat with a passion now (think it was our fault for going on a long car journey and getting stuck in traffic - we did stop and she wasnt distressed but since then has hated it) I also had Joshua with me who although is a good boy has a habit of going into dozy mode as soon as we walk through shop doors! Anyway as I just said I get embarrassed when Lexi screams (and boy can she go for it) :o so I ended up carrying her in my arms and pushing an overloaded trolley that wouldnt go wher I wanted it to and I can barely see over the top of those things anyway once car seat is plonked on top.

Do any of you get embarrassed when your out and about and the little one plays up?

Should I try one of those trolleys that have a built in baby seat? When can you use them from? Lexi is 13 weeks. I need to get a sling or something that would probably help - will order one today but I have to absolutely go shopping this afternoon or we will al starve! :rotfl:

    Im just dreading it already.....

I think its just something that will pass over the next few weeks, thats what happened in my experience when we had similar issues. He needs to let you get your head round it and be on his best behaviour from now on and you need to not let any questions build up and get anything off your chest otherwise it causes more problems. I honestly cant remember what happened after we had the long drawn out chat which answered all of my questions and he told me how stupid and sorry he was - if your feeling anything like I did then there is nothing else to say but things just dont feel normal and your unsure how to get back to how you were? My answer was time. You had a shock and it isnt going to go away over night but you cant hold it against him forever as this will create issues.

Sorry if any of that sounds blunt - I dont mean it to just talking from past experiences ;)

    (((Hugs))) for you x

That reflux-baby shaped cosy thing looks great Sami, we'd have got it 6 or 9 months ago for sure.

OH is very happy the last few days, she has discovered our council's free "1'o'clock clubs" for under-4s, which among other things all have these awesome 'sensory rooms' suitable for crawlers and toddlers with things to spin and press and glow and beep etc, fully-padded for maximum crawl safety. This is excellent as it gives her a reason to walk a mile and a half most days, and a chance for them both to meet new babies and mums :) and Elijah finds it very exciting!
Are these common things? Does everyone have them/go to them? Or is everywhere different in what sorts of stuff is out there?
That sounds like a very posh baby/toddler group! all the groups I've been to are in surestart or little church halls so its just a matter of what toys they can fit in a large cupboard/small storeroom:p

It has been noted after knowing you on here and seeing you in RL for a couple of hours - you are quite germ-concious aren't you! :D
I know when Joe was a baby, we went shopping to Aldi, when the only local Aldi was in Birkenhead North (famous for being the scummiest town on earth!), and a dirty smack-rat woman came over and touched him  - I was horrified and wanted to take him home and bleach him. :rotfl: I'm a lot less bothered now - as long as Violet is eating the dog, I don't think a human touch is going to harm her!

...Still catching up - but i'll be back soon. x
:o I'm not too bad am I? I did let Chris roll around on the grass like a nutter. I loved that Liv said he was hard :rotfl: I thought he was a softy

yes i do usually as everyone starts to stare and make you feel that your useless! i usually have one screaming and one tring to wreck the place! usually ending with me walking out forgetting half of what i wanted in the first place!

hi 3 glad things are sorted and well done to your OH!!

well things are getting better here OH has been helping out loads and even cleaned the kitchen and done the dishes which is totally unheard of:D he has also done the decorating and papering(inc the last bit as paper arrived!) put up all the blinds and helped me throw lots out that really we should never have kept! it looks like i have a real house now and not just a dumping ground! now all i have to do is tackle the ironing and get the shopping :(
What's for you won't go past you

Not too bad Sami - but the pampers changing mats and anti-bac hand gel made me giggle! I bet your house is sparkling! :o
Liv thinks Chris is ace - she wants a little toddler brother now!

Weezl I can't remember which measurements you wanted so just doing them all
    next jeans 9-12mth size
    waist 48cm / 19 inches
    hips 59cm / 23 inches
    crotch - waistband 20cm / 8 inches
    inside leg 26cm / 10 inches
    outside leg 43.5cm / 17 inches
    around ankle 32cm / 12.5 inches

Now I need to know what are you making that requires these measurements?

3, thanks for the info on the bugs thing. Aimee will love that and we already planned to go to the docks next week!

I don't get flustered by the baby / 5yo screaming when we're out... I tend to just phase them out and carry on doing what I have to do... Other people can stare all they all they want, it doesn't bother me... Does that make me a bad mother?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

No I HATE rollercoasters and even little rides :o Mum hates them too which is why we rarely went to places with rides, plus we're geeks and Mum is a not-quite-teacher so we always did educational things in the hols, Albert docks, Manc science museum and chester trips were our usual thang :D
I think Chris would like a trip to the docks, I've not been for ages now - guess what We'll be doing soon!
So far for the hols We're going o a teddy bear's picnic in the park, possible the zoo/knowsly safari park and now the docks wooo!

I always use the trolley with a toddler and baby seat now (Ed is 6 wks), works well until Chris decideds to poke Ed in the eye! :rotfl:I usually put a folded up muslin under Ed's head though because I think it must be un comfy on that hard plastic

The change mat is more to catch wee that keep him clean ;) I learnt fast with Chris that having something absorbent under him meant less changes of clothes and the hand gel well that me being a germaphobe :D
You have no idea how wrong you are, my house is a complete ming fest :o My mum is always huffing and puffing when she's round and making comments about it :undecided
