MM have you called the HV or doctors? The being sick might not be too bad but if he's pale and possibly running a temperature you might just wanna check it... or call NHS direct (can you call them in Norn Ireland?)

SOMEONE SEND MY CHILD TO SLEEP!!! She's point blank refusing to drift off the little toad :)

yeah we can phone NHS here too :)
He doesnt have a temperature, I have checked him 4 or 5 times today !!
He is taking all of his bottle, but instead of being a little bit sick when winded as per usual, he is just being a little bit sick at random times, even when he is sleeping - which might add is still as scary with your 2nd child as it is with your 1st !!
He looks a bit better now, but went quite pale earlier on.
Trust me, I will take him straight to casulty if I think anything needs checked !! But I think he just has a bit of a cold
    Thanks :D

  • Evening everyone :)

My happy baby has been sick all day today :( He is quite pale and is randomly being sick for no obvious reason ??He has slept loads as well ! All he wants to do is cuddle. Hope he is better tomorrow, we are supposed to be visiting family tomorrow !

Ah, get well soon, Dylan! Hope he is OK, MM.

    xx
  • Dont know if I am tempting fate but Ruby slept from 8 last night till 6.45 this morning in her OWN COT:j not bad going for a 16 month old! She loves Mickeys clubhouse and the others on disney and my dad was watching her this morning whilst I was at work and said she has sat and watched the tv all morning:eek: just a one off I hope!
DD1 had her MRI scan this afternoon and panicked a bit but they stopped and calmed her down and she let them finish hopefully get the results back in 4 weeks but the nurse said the tests so far are pointing towards seizures caused by her age and not epilepsy.

(((hugs))) pink - hope you and your family are ok x

Seizures are really common in little ones pinkp - often related to significantly high temperatures. They mostly grow out of them though....fingers crossed for LO.

The MRI is a bl00dy scary machine, no wonder she panicked - I hated it when I had one.

    Is she having an EEG?

She's had a couple of short naps today but she took about an hour to get down (hence only just replying again lol) she was fighting it blink by blink - it's like she knows daddy should be here and he isn't so she won't sleep till he is :rotfl:
Apparently it worked cos she's FINALLY out cold! Let's hope mummy gets a full nights sleep!

  • MFD its my big one who has the seizures shes 15 and starting having them in January this year. I was always extra careful when she was small ( and have been with Ruby) not to let her get too hot as you hear all the tales of convulsions but when they grow up nobody warned me its very common in teenagers! She has been suffering with migraines too which could be the trigger point but she is taking medication for them now which seem to be working with just a few hiccups along the way! She had an eeg about 8 weeks ago which showed some abnormalities and then had another last week when they put her to sleep get the results back in about 4 weeks for this. Such a worry you think as they get older the worry goes but it dosnt you just find new things to worry about. She is very laid back and positive about it all good job really.:o

I was wondering how your DD was getting on. (It was you I was speaking to about my little sister?). Little sis's epilepsy also seem to the age/hormone related - and they've said she could grow out of it just as quickly as she grew into it!! All a bit vague - but at least theres some hope - and with medication she's coping really well.

I had to pop out to the doctor this afternoon and Joshua came home while I was out. The conversation went:

    J: where've you been Mam?
    Me: just to the doctors
    J: what for?
Me: nothing serious, just a check up
    J: what were they checking?
Me: nothing, don't worry about it
J: oh come on Mam, tell us
Me: well if you must know, I went to get more contraceptives so I can have sex and not get pregnant
J with beetroot red face: oh

Poor Joshua - and wicked Mummy Becles! (But still funny - poor lad!)
Em - Izzy is like that, she has to be awake for at least an hour or so before breakfast. I think some people just have to be awake for a bit first? DH can't eat breakfast at all - he has his lunch on his tea-break instead, as he can't last till lunchtime, but can't stomach any food earlier than that. Me on the other hand, I would eat while I was still asleep if I could ;)

Me and DS are unable to eat for at least 2 hours after we get up. It actually makes us gag! We both have our cup of tea first thing, then have toast/cereal later.

I feed Violet as soon as she wakes up, normally 7ish, hopefully she'll go back off before breakfast at 8/9ish. When big ones are back at school, breakfast will be when we get back from school run.

It was her 6 month/half birthday today. She stayed at Nannys last night for the first time, and woke at 2.30am for a feed! She's been sleeping 7.30pm til 7am for ages now - so i'm thinking she woke because she's in a strange place, or because she's at Nannys and though she could take the pi55!
Mum said she's an absolute nightmare to have in the same room! Figiting all night, changing position between each corner of the travel cot, and doing her little scratching her nails on the mattress thing! We must be used to it! :D

Anyhows - we had a brilliant night out! It was a friends birthday, so 2 couples and the single birthday boy went out. Over to Liverpool for 6pm, early special at a Tapa's restaurant - it was absolutely gorgeous. Then onto the Cavern pub - proper sweaty pub with a loud band on, then onto Flares nightclub for cheesy dancing! We had such a good time - I think we both remembered that we could had fun!! We were shocking and stayed out til gone two..........and still managed to stay awake til gone 4! ;):p

And - after sleeping til 10, we're feeling remarkably well today!

Only scanned through the last page........i'll go back now while i'm eating pizza!
