OMG - happened to be looking for a new toy and came across this !!!!!!
What a lifesaver that would be - my wrist is killing me !!
:rotfl: :rotfl: i might get one and sit it next to my sofa, maybe i'd be allowed to actually go to bed when i want then instead of getting hassled for a rumpy pumpy session!!

Does anyone remember Mr Hanky (?) the Christmas Poo??? :rotfl::rotfl:
my hanky, the christmas poo, small and brown, he comes from you ;) i was at school when that was out and i bought the tape single

    Good morning everyone:)

Erm am I cruel...when Kai wakes up at this silly o clock, I always come down and stick him in his swing, and refuse to feed him his brekkie till 7am:o I am hoping he will eventually learn that 7am is time to get up not 5.45am....Yes I have been up an hour already....I have filled the dishwasher, emptied the washing machine and hung everything on the line and paid some bills:p

Do you all feed your babies as soon as they get up?
seth refuses to eat when he wakes up, he wakes at 4ish for a feed and then wakes up proper at 6-6.30am, but wont eat  i dont know why he wakes cos he isnt hungry? if he has a poo he goes back off to sleep but if he doesnt have a poo its playtime  he then wont eat til 8am!

  • Em - Izzy is like that, she has to be awake for at least an hour or so before breakfast. I think some people just have to be awake for a bit first? DH can't eat breakfast at all - he has his lunch on his tea-break instead, as he can't last till lunchtime, but can't stomach any food earlier than that. Me on the other hand, I would eat while I was still asleep if I could ;)

That was the dilema I was having Mrs M, so I just bought a new one as I can sell it when done and it will have barely cost a thing, Its arriving today!
i've been thinking that  i'm "watching" an old style one which is fairly local so will see how much that ends up at, i'm not bothered about the all singing/all dancing one i just want a ruddy bouncer! have also seen a hop n pop  wondering if that will be good, they seem a bit cheaper...

    Morning

When Elijah was younger we fed him on waking, for the last few months he's been waking very very early though, and with less desperate hunger. So I usually cruelly leave him in his cot for a while - when possible til after 6.30 (not always possible by any means), as long as he is just being a bit moany but playing with his soft toys. If he starts proper crying I rescue him.

I am not good at being productive that early though! I tend to zombie on the laptop. So well done Mel :p
i'm going to show my OH your posts i think, cos he moans when i "sleep through ;)" seth waking up in the morning, and i only do it maybe once or twice a week! and he has to get up less than a hour later when his alarm goes off so i dont see why its such a hassle to get up with him and then put him back in bed with me?!

I had to pop out to the doctor this afternoon and Joshua came home while I was out. The conversation went:

    J: where've you been Mam?
    Me: just to the doctors
    J: what for?
Me: nothing serious, just a check up
    J: what were they checking?
Me: nothing, don't worry about it
J: oh come on Mam, tell us
Me: well if you must know, I went to get more contraceptives so I can have sex and not get pregnant
J with beetroot red face: oh

they've started?! could've fooled me :rotfl: seth still spends all day either sleeping or crying! mostly crying lol! i'm wishing the days away at the moment, its always such a relief when he goes for a nap that while i dont want him to grow up and need less naps i cant wait for him to get that little bit older and be able to communicate what the japs is actually wrong with him!

Benjamin barely naps or cries!! Funny how children can be so different isn't it!!

I had my first 'I don't want to feed here' moment today (not like me at all) we went out shopping and then I popped into the pub where hubby (who has his own construction business) was treating his lads to a pint...I just couldn't feed there  it is a place where BF is most definitely ABnormal and I didn't want to risk having hubbys employees seeing my nips!!

We made our excuses and left :o

I feel like I have let the sisterhood down ;):p

MM have you called the HV or doctors? The being sick might not be too bad but if he's pale and possibly running a temperature you might just wanna check it... or call NHS direct (can you call them in Norn Ireland?)

SOMEONE SEND MY CHILD TO SLEEP!!! She's point blank refusing to drift off the little toad :)

  • Don't worry MFD, no poing doing it if you're not comfortable. The only place I've not wanted to was when we visited work - I went into the break room, and it was all the young lads that I had trained in there and no-one else. If there were a different group in there (or even if there were one or two ladies I could chat to) I would have gone ahead, but not with all of them!

  • Thanks, Sami & Susan. I'm going to continue with the childs one anyway but was extremely surprised with myself for not knowing any different! (and its the first time I've been made to feel like a bad parent by a HV as she wasn't my usual one :o).

Oh, I keep meaning to say congrats and welcome to NMS and all the newbies! :j

And lots of hugs and snugs to MFD and Benjamin. The main thing is there is nothing wrong with his hand so thats a major deal and I bet a huge relief!! :T The weight thing will rectify itself so no stressing, do you hear?! ;)

    xx
