    Afternoon all

    long time no see!!

Leila is fast asleep after a trip to Sainsburys. I cant remember who mentioned it earlier but I am also getting tired of people leering at my baby. One women hurled herself at my trolley today and said ' I have a grandaughter just like that at home'. Well good, go and leer at your own grandaughter then. I also got asked the other day, what is it? I said, 'a baby'. That didnt deter her though and she started asking babys name etc.

I also met some lovely girls last week whilst feeding Leila on a bench. They could only have been about 15. The first girl said, 'I am not having babies till i'm atleast 25'. The second girl asked her why. The first girl said that will give me more time to go out every night and get hammered!!!!

Skinty - If Lilia doesnt like being on her back, would you be happy for her to sleep on her side. Leila slept on her side pretty much from the start and doesnt like being on her back because when she startles it wakes her up. Now she sleeps on her tummy and has been doing since she rolled on to it from her side at about 5 weeks. She sleeps so peacefully like this.

The other thing I have found useful in bed is a wedge like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bed-Wedge-Back-Pain-Pregnancy-Comfort-Leg-Support-NEW_W0QQitemZ350153711425QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Health_Beauty_Mobility_Disability_Medical_ET?hash=item5186c99f41&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I already had it to help with my hubby's [STRIKE]snoring[/STRIKE] reflux problem but have now stolen it for feeding. Its easier if i'm propped up and Leila lies across my tummy. I have just started feeding lieing down as Leila has been sharing the bed for a few days as she has the snuffles.

IT DOES GET EASIER - I promise (and I am a solicitor so I would never twist the truth!!:A)

Leila is 7 weeks today and she only ever really cries when she is hungry (or wants her mummy:o). One smile from her makes the lack of sleep, the pooey nappys, the late nights and early mornings and the lack of 'me' time etc all worthwhile. xx
Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j

he was born may 2006, wow she has a ds too! i think they'd get along!! is kiera going to nursery soon? jake starts in oct,

with the sticky eyes, jasmine has only just got rid of hers, and thats from getting antibiotics drops last week, they kept tellin me to just bathe in water ect, when i had booby milk i put some of that on but it didnt work either! (i read somewhere that it could get rid of it),

I tried the milk too, I think it must only work for mild infection. Chris had a sticky eye but it cleared after about 3days of regular salt water bathing

One of the songs we did was 'If you're happy and you know it' which is fine...apart from the fact that the second verse had been changed to:

'If you're angry and you know it stamp your feet' - with angry faces and stamping motions to go along with it.

I wouldn't be happy with that. I prefer being happy on all the verses. Charlotte only likes the "shout we are" verse so she can shout "we are" at the top of her voice :rotfl:

As you know, Lilia and I have thrush. She is 13 days old today and we have been taking the treatements (Daktarin gel for her, clotrimazole for me) for seven days now and I can;t see any real improvement.

I know eating lots of yoghurt helps with vaginal thrush. I've not sure if it works on breast thrush, but it might be worth a try if you like yoghurt. Also eating less of foods with sugar and yeast in can help too.
Lilia is also strugglng to sleep which may be related or may not. Any tips on how to get her to go off when she is obviously exhausted but for some reason fights it?

Are you picking her up the second she makes a noise? Don't worry if you are - it's a common new parenty thing and we all did it! I know it's really hard, but try ignoring her for a few minutes and she might learn to go off herself. Obviously if she starts really crying and is distressed you need to pick her up and deal with her. It'll take time, but you'll will learn the difference between a need something cry and a frustration cry, so you'll know when she needs picking up and when she can be left to settle herself. Even after three it still feels hard leaving them to settle themselves though :o
Here I go again on my own....

I gave evidence about something that happened outside my front door, and how two people ended up in my house! You try to do the right thing but you get kicked in the teeth for it, and it seems since I gave the evidence we have more problems with the house. Stuff like stones being thrown at the front and back windows and the gates being pulled down.

Not sure I can say anymore - hopefully they will plead guilty and I won't have to go.

JM - She was born in April, and she starts nursery Sep 1st :D She can't wait, we just ordered her peppa pig backpack today. Think I'm going to go get her haircut AGAIN before nursery, I'm not happy with her hairdew, I don't like the heavy fringe they have given her, makes her whole hair/head look like a turnip, I'm going somewhere else, and telling them to make it back into a side fringe. I get very OCD about things when I'm not happy.

I'll also have to go buy more trousers for her, hate doing that as 3/4 fits her in the leg but doesn't round the waist, and 2/3 fits her perfect round the waist but strangle her legs and tend to be half masts.

Whats his fave DS games? We just got her the pocoyo one, some of it she can't do but loves it all teh same, and mario kart.....likes driving them off the edge into the water, she will just LOL for ages. Nutter.
