Lilia is also strugglng to sleep which may be related or may not. Any tips on how to get her to go off when she is obviously exhausted but for some reason fights it?
But she has still had a crying fit since, and is now refusing to go to sleep despite being sooo sleeeepy.
What can we do?
Oh bless you, that sounds so very similar to how Celia was with thrush at five weeks, it was awful so very very much empathy.
Thrush: afaik you should see some improvements within 48 hours. There's some things you can do to help ease it. Air your nipples and keep them dry as much as you can. Drink/eat lots of probiotic stuff. Pop some tea tree oil in the wash (if you have any) as it kills thrush fungus. If it was me I'd pop back to the doctors. I found nystatin drops and nystatin cream for me (washed off before feeds) was the most effective so you could ask him about that or just generally air your concerns.
Sleeping: The swing was a life saver when Celia was teeny as it rocked her to sleep. The sling also knocks her out too (still dlo that now) mostly she nurses to sleep though. Have you been shown how to nurse lying down? That way you can rest/sleep while she's feeding.
It does get easier I promise.Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
