Skinty, when you're back on. It's all completely normal but just not what you're lead to believe it will be like. I just think it's more realistic to know that for the first few weeks you do nothing but cuddle, nappies and feed and your time doesn't figure but it does get easier honest. This time as I know Maddy is my last baby I'm not bothered about carrying her around. There is a positive side, they grow so fast so make the most of just sitting and holding cos in a couple of months it'll be over. Then you'll blink and she'll be starting school. And I do sleep semi-sitting up. XXX

Edit, and to those who say I'm spoiling her with my time, too right I am.
you go mises :D I think with 6 kids you know what you're doing ;)
I think you can't spoil a child by loving it, annoy it once they're bigger - yes but spoil - no :D

It's bad enough finding the kitten rolling a ball of his poo around the utility room floor like a toy :silenced: but if Keira's big boulder went on the carpet I'd of been BLEEEUGCHHH!

They do seem awfully alike with the food fussyness, lazy pooping and DS addiction (Keira loves the DS!)

    When was Jake born?

I just took the bins out (we have a drying room with a bin chute) and the kitten ran out, and the paper boy came in at the same time, and he ran down the backstairs, I'm in a nighty and shorts, no bra and stubble on my legs, I must of looked FAB, I had to pleg it down to the 3rd floor (I'm on 8)before I caught the little monkey. Knackered now! I'm so unfit!

Well done on your weight loss SM, Last year I weighed 17stone!! Morbidly obese, I now weigh just under 12, hoping to get to 10 7, at least by xmas! It's slowed down A LOT now, which sucks, but at least I don't need to shop in the bigger ranges anymore, that got me down as before I had Keira, I was always a 10, mind you, my own fault for troughing down pringles on a night. C'est la vie!

Sami, Maddys got an icky eye, what are they checking for? She also has an umbilical hernia and an angels kiss on her forehead. All new to me!
I don't know :o I've been bathing it with salt water but with no improvement so asked HV about it, she asked what colour the gloop was and if the eye was red (greeny yellow and yes) so she said I needed to get GP to swab it...

what's an angels kiss?? is it a red mark betwen the eye brows? chris has one of those

oh i forgot to share my stupidity earlier.
first thing this morning I was still a bit bleary changing both boys nappies and couldn't work out why Chris's didn't seem right (apart from the fact he wears pull up in the day not nappies) I was trying to put a size 2 newborn nappy on him!

SM, what did J weigh at birth? I think he was smaller than Ed (8lb 4oz) Ed was 11lb 14oz today

My lil girl had/has an umbilical hernia. I thought it was just an outy? Dr said it should go by age 1 or if not they can do something to it? I don't see any need to do anything to it though, think it looks fine.

Will try and figure out how to do piccies at some point - it may take me a while, it took me a month to figure out how to put a profile pic on facebook (and for some reason I can't put smilies in here- weird). Probably my lack of interweb literacy

How do I enable smilies and text enhancements?
    Click 'User CP'
Click 'Edit Options' in Control Panel
Scroll to bottom of page to 'Miscellaneous Options'
Change option to 'Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing'
    Click 'Save Changes'

You'll find how to post piccies under "images" in here: Unofficial A-Z MSE
or if the pic is on facebook copy n paste the public link that is at the bottom of the page when you look at the photo :)
