r.mac you can come on here anytime and moan :) After all we're not "real" ;)
Is he not happy about you being a SAHM because it's putting a lot of pressure on him to provide for you all - with the credit crunch that can be a huge mental burden for a guy I think...

pink - I haven't tried the Medela mini - no idea how powerful it is compared to the Swing so that might effect it too
I'm sure you'll get the hang of it (and well done you for managing with a baby on the other boob! I haven't even tried that yet!!)

feeling a bit sad. I love being a SAHM and wouldn't change my LO for the world. I love her so much, but it's had such a huge and negative effect on my relationship with DH. I know we need to do something about it, but not sure what. decided to take a big step and tell my mum how upset I am. I feel disloyal to DH doing it, but I have to talk to someone....

talk to DH about it, the biggest reason hubby doesn't want more babies is because it has a devestating effect on our relationship. I'm guilty of making the boys my life completely for the first 4-6months, it's hard on hubby but he knows it gets better and as long as he gentley reminds me he's still here and I pay him some attention he's ok. If it's like this for you then try to take a leaf out of MFD's book to keep hubby in on the action (not that I follow my own advice :o) xxx

r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this response :p
  • r.mac...

What they said ;) It is a complete change of everything, and much harder for dad to adjust. Talk to your mum (and us!) to help get your head straight, and talk to him too :)

I have an escapologist here - she keeps getting out of her not-a-bumbo when I'm not looking. I might have to stick some velcro on the seat and sew some on her bum ;).

Edited to add - I mean the bum of her clothes, not her actual bum ... incase you were worrying :rotfl:.
