  • Elle - not sure how much Rhys is moving but could it have been sick? It is amazing how far it can go when they really try

Craig is so much better with Rhys than I am! Maybe it comes from him going up to the unit more than me in the early days (after the c section) and seeing how the nurses cared for Rhys which made him more relaxed. I was always worried about breaking him! :o

No need to worry about them not getting enough time together - as soon as Craig's home, the pair of them are together. I usually get him back for a few hours in the evening then Craig nabs him back until (our) bedtime!

After last night, I really can't wait to be back in our own room and be able to put Rhys in there to sleep in the evening. The current "non-routine" we have is doing him no good getting all cosy, warm and sleepy with OH then coming into the living room where I have the light and TV on.. :o

I don't think so. His shoulders were fine and I've checked his cot, but found nothing.. Just an odd kid.. ;)

My mum used to look after a boy who took a muslin to school with him!!!

It's not hard for me at all! The ex made hubby feel like parenting was her responsibility and he was just there to earn money etc. Every time he did something with DSS it was wrong (;) we all think it!!!) and he resented that. So I learned to chill - hubby has as much right to care for Benjamin how he wants to as I do to care for him how I want to....and Benjamin will be much more balanced for having input from both of us.
Makes my life much easier too!!
    that's good :)
I have a friend who is constantly (although I think unfounded) worried that her OH would leave her if she got remotely fat

was it when you got him out of his cot or had you cuddled him? I'm always leaking milk on poor Ed

MFD, make sure you alternate elephants 1 & 2.. my friend bought a spare comfort toy for her daughter but she wouldn't touch it because it was all new... My Aunt bought Aimee an ikea teddy and we took it to her house once where her son also had one... But we could tell which teddy belonged to which child even though they're identical!

I really try to involve hubby in parenting but its difficult... Sometimes I feel he jumps in quick with Aimee when I'm disciplining(sp) her, or he's a little hard/says no quickly without thinking it through but I try to back him up most of the time... With Caitlyn I give her to him as much as possible when he's home because I'm really aware that I get her all day and I'm the one that feeds her 100% I'm not sure how much he appreciates this though because he sometimes makes me feel like I'm palming her off on him... I know I don't have to worry about him feeling second best to the children though, he can be extremely needy and won't allow himself to be pushed out lol...

I did my first approved foods order last week, StepMIL convinced me with her cupboards crammed with things... It just arrived in a huuuuuuuuuuuuge box! I've had to rearrange 4 cupboards in the kitchen to fit all the stuff in... Was like playing tetris! (I also found a long forgotten bag of weed in the back of one cupboard... Not sure what to do with it.. I haven't smoked normal in years, let alone a funny 1... But it just feels wrong to throw it away...)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Krystal - we intend to alternate from now on ;)

Re: palming them off - I felt like that at first too...but as they get older and a bit more fun then Daddy is much more willing!! And if anything I am a bit jealous LOL!

Surely it will be all dried out and carp by now?
