Aww Weezl you are not allowed to take a sewing machine on holiday! What other cruel things will fate throw at you today! :p

Wouldn't worry about Fergie rolling or eating, if you are, which I'm sure you're not. Don't think Elijah had done either of those things at his age, or maybe only rolled 'by mistake', and there's definitely a big variance out there.

Am I allowed to link videos? As we were discussing when we got married it's topical (ok, sort of, weak link) but I thought it was ... awesome in some ways... possibly a leeetle bit much.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-94JhLEiN0&feature=player_embedded

Weezl - Don't worry Kai has no inclination to roll over yet either, and there is no way I am giving him anything other than mushy food....I spent more time than I would have liked, sticking my fingers down ds2's throat to scoop out food he was choking on...I don't care if I still have to liquidise food when this child is ten - I do not like the feel of tonsils!!!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Bruno you can link what you like so long as you don't own the site you link to or potentially make money from doing so :)

Weezl a non-rolling, non-eating baby is much more convenient to take on holiday.

Someone has taken Charlotte's competition link and posted it on a rival Newcastle board. They've added horrid comments about her on there. I can't understand why people would attack a toddler like that.

That's awful. I can't understand why people would make cruel comments about a child either. Anyone who does that sort of thing doesn't have opinions worth caring about. :grouphug:

ladyb are you getting a pack of cupboard/drawer locks too? ;) I wish I had a wall big enough for a unit like that, well I do have 1 wall that big but it's in the kitchen, not sure it'd match :rotfl:

The plan is to wait and see if we can teach her that she isn't allowed to open the cupboards and take everything out.... then go and buy some locks ;) :rotfl:

Our lr is quite big (it's "meant" to be a l/r d/r combined thing, but it isn't quite THAT big... have to pull the table out into the middle of the room to use it) and we have no fireplace or anything, so there is room for a big unit - we are replacing lots of little low cupboards with the big unit, so it takes up less floor space and there is more room to play iyswim.

As an aside, what has been everyone's favourite new baby gift? :)

And least favourite if you want to confess it! ;)

We didn't have any BAD gifts as such, but we did get a big basket of baby smellies, most of which we've not used. Seeing as we are not using shampoo/baby wash at all and I'd rather stick with olive oil rather thyan baby oil i should probably give it away to my other mummy friends. We have used the baby wipes/nappy sacks etc though. I feel bad whinging about it, as SIL had obviously put a lot of thought into it, it is just unfortunate that Izzy seems to have inheritted my sensative skin! (I have lots of mummy-smellies I should donate to my other mummy friends. Or maybe I should have a car boot!)

Best gift was probably the HUGE bear. Or the ladybird bib. Or the ladybird spotty blanket that one of our friends made. orororor.... we got lots of brilliant things :)

Wow... I can't imagine my mum joining in with something like that . I wonder what the rest of the ceremony was like!

The only cupboard we've ever made sure Alice can't get into is the cleaning cupboard. She does open the TV unit when she wants to watch a video and she starts getting plates out when she wants something to eat but she's never just emptied out wole cupboards or anything like that. (Unless you count putting half the cutlery on the floor when she's setting the table.) We like her to be able to access things (within reason) as it means we can ask her to get things out and put things away.

I totally agree...quite amazing, but I guess for people who really want a memorable, special day- and have friends of a certain type! - it worked well... but good lord.
