I am kicking myself because I knew when you were wanting the HV to visit a few weeks ago (maybe even a month or so ago) that you were finding it tough...I asked a couple of times then it slipped my mind
Another week is a long time to wait to see someone....please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Aww cute moment of the night.. Rhys has been doing really well with his head control in the last few days, and tonight he was leaning on my chest, propping himself up with his head perfectly straight, staring at me with big wide eyes. All of a sudden, he let out this huge, really loud comedy hiccup and his eyes went even wider and he froze in shock! :rotfl:
More success on breastfeeding tonight too :j Decided to do it every evening if he's looking up for trying it so that he's not getting too much without his med powders in. I could be imagining it, but he seems much calmer after BF.. Seems to go down for a sleep with no fuss at all0 -
Someone has taken Charlotte's competition link and posted it on a rival Newcastle board. They've added horrid comments about her on there. I can't understand why people would attack a toddler like that.

becles, that's awful! I couldn't believe what I was reading and felt very sick. Goodness only knows how you must feel. Charlotte really is beautiful. I feel very sorry for anyone whose life is so empty that they fill it with attacking a child on an internet forum. Hope you feel ok now, but I'm sure if it were me it would sting for a while
elle, I'm sure asda will do an exchange- and anyone who's a good friend would rather you had something you liked
Strangely (!) our best presents were from MIL and FIL who gave DH a cheque for £400 while I was pregnant, to help us with set up costs, and from my uncle, who gave my mum £50 and said to get anything we were short of. Those were great because Fergus is still a cash neutral baby!It also meant I could buy a tens machine for labour. :T
About our status, I am with DH who I started dating 12 years ago and married nearly 10 years ago. We were a bit traditional and moved in together after the wedding!!!!!
Spent most of yesterday packing and still not there! Oh boy
The food is trickiest. They're going to transport our stuff from carpark to cottage by golfcart, so I'm insistent that the food is packaged up well not just in sprawly carrier bags. DH thinks this is daft. What do you guys reckon?
All the baby gear means no room for crafty stuff on holiday. Never thought I'd miss a sewing machine
Caz, sorry your appointment is a while away, hope you will let off a bit of steam here in the meantime.
Millie's Mum, whatever it was I hope it's a bit better now
MFD, I thought benjamin was actually eating the brocolli and stuff on his antilop! Feel more reassured now about my uninterested baby. He also shows absolutely no inclination to roll . All of yours seem to have been doing this for ages :rotfl:
Tine, glad hubby's gonna do more without being asked. That's great:T
emlou how's the cot transfer situation now?

have I remebered right that its got really thick metal bits? someone did say on a review that it only just fit their pram, I found a neoprene cup holder on ebay that attaches with velco, that might work for you
Yeah the metal bits are very wide on the iCandy - if you have a magic linkypoo to the cup holders...Tine, glad hubby's gonna do more without being asked. That's great:T
