Oh, one last thing (then I will go get on with my day, I promise!)
I bought this sling on ebay yesterday (as if the 2 we already have aren't enough). I love buying things from China on ebay. I have no idea what the message they just sent me is trying to tell me. All the words are in english but the order isn't. There is a link to a courier company website, and what looks like it is probably a tracking number, so I will assume it has been despatched, and will wait patiently for delivery anywayIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

I didn't think he would drink it all but I had defrosted too much so I just stuck it all in the bottle. My mum was only telling me yesterday that he seems to need to know that the bottle is totally empty before he will settle!!! What a little porker!!
We are still on breastmilk with the occasional suck of apple etc no 'food' here yet...but he is sleeping 7pm til 6 or 7am so I can't complain!
I forgot to take him to clinic today until you said about it earlier
Why don't you weigh him by getting on the scales with him and without him and measuring the difference?
Benjamin is safely in bed after visiting MIL and SIL - he held up quite well given it was 1 1/2 hours after his bedtime! He conked out the second I put him down though!!
SM - can't you ebay it?? They are going for much more!!
I was wondering how Benjamin was getting on with the highchair - is he still ebing veyr cute and bending his head to eat off the trayladybirdintheuk wrote: »Evening all ... quiet here because we have been busy working out what we are going to buy from Ikea on Saturday (this unit, with a few extra bits) to make the place a bit more baby-proof. And finding a new stereo that takes up less space. :T:T:T
And we have Chineese. And a boozy drink. And Midsummer Murders. Also have a kitchen/living room to continue sorting in the breaks, but I'm getting to the end of energy for the evening.
Did I miss Midsomer Murders last night:eek:Hypothetical question..If someone bought you a present for baby and you really didn't like it, what would you do? With the present, I mean..
welll.....the ones from people we don't see much got exchanged (there were only a couple of outfits) and 1 or 2 were changed for the same but a bigger size. However, my DH's parents have bought some awful things and I'm not sure what to do with them......i'm pretty sure if i ebay them or lose them on the way to the recycling bin they'll ask about them..... So they are hidden in the cupboard for now;)
ETA : the worst present from the inlaws were yucky pink machine knitted booties with heart shaped diamontes all over them. She knew and had seen all the beautiful handknitted things my mum and I had made for baby and still bought them AND the matching knitted headband - DH's reaction was "mum, what the f88k are these?" :roftl: :roftl: :roftl: :roftl: :roftl: perhaps he does have quite good taste afterallr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

I'm trying to boycott China at the moment but it's very difficult as everything seems to be made in China.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

that must have been one of the worst nights ever! i have had a whole 3 hours sleep:( i couldnt sleep so went downstairs for a drink, talked to OH and eventually fell asleep, had around half an hour and erin started to cry, eventually got her settled and down and then Charlie started to scream. It took me ages to calm him down and by this time it was sunny outside. Erin refused to cuddle back in this morning so im up and yawning? What's for you won't go past you0

Least favourite was small clothes - especially newborn when she was a month old and too big for them already. Next voucher wasn't very good - we have ended up buying clothes for when Alice is 5-7 with it as it was all we could find that we liked and we were worried about the voucher expiring.
Best was probably toys/books and vests/babygrows in larger sizes. Clothes in larger sizes were good too but not always to my taste. One of OH's school friends sent the Hungry Caterpillar - that was probably his favourite.
We love the hungry catepillar and are going to see him at the edinburgh book festival next month[STRIKE]mummy is [/STRIKE]Annabel is very excited
Best gift was my Mam giving me a family shawl that's brought various babies home from hospital including me. It's now brought Joshua, James and Charlotte home! She also saved a gorgeous tiny white dress that was mine and gave it to me when Charlotte was born. James did his First Holy Communion when she was a month old, so she wore it for the church service and we got lots of nice comments about it.
Worst was some babygro's that ex-MIL bought when Joshua was born. They were bonny with a printed pictures on the front, but the poppers were at the back and instead of the funny bit where all the poppers meet between the legs, that bit was just above his bottom at the back. It was a right struggle putting a tiny baby in something that has poppers up the back, and then he wouldn't settle and I'm sure it was because he had a lump of fabric and poppers wedged in his lower back.
Someone has taken Charlotte's competition link and posted it on a rival Newcastle board. They've added horrid comments about her on there. I can't understand why people would attack a toddler like that.

:eek: I am appalled - charlotte is beautiful.SeptemberBaby wrote: »elle, it might be terribly uncouth but my favourite gifts are vouchers/cash/cheques (as both children are rediculously spoilt. I even have lots of their Christmas presents still unopened - Jamie even received his own fair share whilst still in the womb due to his EDD!).
Worst presents were all the newborn sized clothes (sorry!!) as weighing in at his size they were already too small (but my lovely sister bought lots off me recently and I in turn bought a stash of nappies and wipes
).
xx
we are at that point SB - if anyone asks it's always JL vouchers! She is spoilt rottena nd this way we can buy her things she actually needs/will fit/get use out of than have yet another soft toy:rotfl: (which I ahve a particular aversion to!)r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

MrsT - i may have gone mad, but have you tried the bugaboo cupholder for the icandy - it comes with several widths of attachments and i think the bigger one may fit - why not go into a pram centre or JL and ask to try it out??? I'm sure one of the ladies at our baby sensory class did this.....
ETA: sorry - my typing is awful this morning - something to do with having very little sleep *yawn smilie*r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

Hate to crush all your dreams ladies but a lot of the clothes your babies will end up wearing is made in China... I checked a load of Alex's baby clothes and those that list where it's made all state China, and several of the ones that don't state I know are made in China...
The only problem with buying direct from there is the lack of protection you have is if it's a fraud... The quality is often exactly the same as what you might buy here - because it's come from the same factories!

I feel pretty good! I've actually sorted and photographed 2 lots of baby clothes so far today! Only a small mountain to go!
even priced the postage too Whoop whoop!
I want to get at least 4 packages sorted, photographed, listed, packed and basically ready to go when the listing ends and the money hits my account!
So only 2 to go then!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
