when was the last time he was weighed? Chris used to gain that much weight per one or two weeks, he's a slow grower AKA cheaper as clothes last longer:DNurse weighed Rhys and he's only put on an ounce and a half - now 5lb 6.5oz. I thought he'd weigh a lot more than that, but we figured it might be because he's using a lot more energy actually putting the effort into feeding
Am not too chuffed with OH. He's come home from work moaning that he's tired because Rhys kept him awake last night. Apparently he was screaming for a while every hour but I didn't wake up - I don't believe he was actually proper crying, probably just muttering which I'm used to from sleeping in the same room as him in the hospital. OH told me I'm "probably lacking in maternal instinct" and that's why I didn't wake up.. Gee, thanks for that!
Wasn't OH tired from staying up playing silly games?
Me thinks he was just looking for someone to blame instead of himself  If Rhys was really screaming he (OH and/or Rhys) would have woken you, non?
The fact is we parents have no idea how long our babies cry for before we wake up and it's not done us/our bubba any harm!0

So did I. I was overdue a hairwash when I went into labour so my hair is obviously really greasy in all the first photos.feelinggood wrote: »Fantastic pictures! You should see my post birth pictures, I look absolutely awful!
That's what I regret about moving to another village - ours were so good that you didn't even need to give your name when you phoned up.I've stumbled across a rare breed.. a FRIENDLY doctors' receptionist!! :eek:Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

He was 5lb 5oz last Tuesday, weighed just before we left, so that's 1.5oz in six days
Yup, was playing silly games. I told him to wake me up if Rhys was crying and I'd sort him out but then he did the martyr "no, it's okay, I'll sort him" - well, if he wants to do it, I'll let him!
Not thought about anything for tea.. Have had a total of about ten Bourbon biscuits and four cups of tea today, not got round to anything else 0 0

Catching up slowly - bear with me...only on page 3!!!thanks krystal. These days are definately the hardest, but I know we'll get there - I'm just annoyed at myself that I'm not very good at dealing with them. DH is taking the brunt (although to be fair he has not helped himself and is also snappy cause of sleep deprivation!) and I'm terrified that it might become something we can't fix if madam doesn't start sleeping a bit better soon......:o
((HUGS)) honey - remember that she will be a sulky teenager that you can't get out of bed before you know it
Glad your mom is coming - make the most of her and MIL :D

How very dare you :eek:feelinggood wrote: »Oh, and Tobes had his first taste of food! Dad was holding him while we were out having a Nepalese, and he spit up a bit (Baby, not Dad). Was talking to Mum about BLW, and she said she did that when we were little, but back then it was just called being lazy.
Rmac, what a lovely Mum. Enjoy your rest, make sure it is a rest!
 LOL at Toby!!
Loving the BLW comment - I am trying to call it something other than 'Baby-Led' which I think sounds pompous and doesn't really explain it...no matter what the BLW woman tells me - does Baby-Led actually MEAN anything in normal language!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman Proud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 Proud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120

.. That's what I regret about moving to another village - ours were so good that you didn't even need to give your name when you phoned up.
When I originall phoned up and told them Rhys' name and then mine, I got the reply "LG? Not the LG who faints at blood tests? And now you've had a baby?! Well done you!"... charmed, I'm sure! 0  0

Mine wasn't overdue a hairwash but it didn't look pretty after the delivery! I nearly burst out crying when I saw myself in a mirror when they allowed me to go for a shower...
Given my bloodloss I think I looked ok - not fab, but ok lol

DH made a comment on the phone earlier when I told him he could cook tonight (chicken and bacon salad - it's liek THE easiest dish! Stick chicken and bacon under grill, chuck salad leaves on plate, take out chicken and bacon and chuck on salad - serve) and made a moaning noise so I said in a narked tone "Fine I'LL do it then!" - cue "no it's ok hun I'll do it it's just been a long day is all". And lookign after a baby all day isn't??? I thought he'd sussed it after having her for half a day on sunday! Ah well - he's pretty good really so I'll let him off this one indescretion! I think it means it is led by the baby's ability/desire rather than by the parent choosing to spoon the food down and possibly encouraging them to eat more (which I guess could be described as "parent-led"). I generally just used to say, "We don't bother with baby food/purees - we just give Alice real food."My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »Loving the BLW comment - I am trying to call it something other than 'Baby-Led' which I think sounds pompous and doesn't really explain it...no matter what the BLW woman tells me - does Baby-Led actually MEAN anything in normal language!!
The midwives were hassling me to go and have a bath. Eventually after about 7 or 8 hours OH helped me walk to the bathroom as one of my legs still hadn't fully recovered from the epidural. It was inconvenient for them as they usually clean up the room while you have a bath and there was a load of blood on the floor because the MW snapped the cord by pulling it during what was meant to be a natural third stage.Mine wasn't overdue a hairwash but it didn't look pretty after the delivery! I nearly burst out crying when I saw myself in a mirror when they allowed me to go for a shower...
