Izzy loves the remote too... Need to find an old one for her too. Once she is up and moving will have to make sure she sees me turning it off on the front of the telly, so she can make DH take his eyes off the screen
Woo, that's fabI always wanted a tattoo, but never got around to it, and now I've decided I'm too much of a wimp and I've got other things to spend my pennies on

Ooo - forgot to say that yesterday we went to Ikea to pick up the Antilop high chair. We have a big fancy one that my brother gave us but all that padding etc is not conducive to baby led weaning.
This, on the other hand, is a little plastic miracle. Benjamin (having reached his 3 milestones to start BLW) sat in there this afternoon and messed around with some carrot and broccoli (sp?) for a while (I really need to learn to spell that!). He did eat some broccoli we think but we are loving the lack of pressure thing at the moment. If he wants to eat he will, if not then we are happy to just keep giving him little things until he is ready
Although - rather than picking the food up (which he can do quite easily now) he was sliding along to the side of the tray and then leaning down to pick it up in his mouth/suck it off the tray :rotfl::rotfl:
So, once Benjamin was bored of playing with the food I carried the whole tray into the kitchen (it is SO light) wiped the whole thing off and disinfected it within 30 seconds :T
We will get the fancy high chair out once Benjamin has mastered the basics!
So - now I need some cheap tablecloths...or even sheets...to go underneath it. Any ideas anyone?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

We had a large wipeable tablecloth which had a big stain on so I cut it in half and used the nice half for the table and the stained half under Alice's chair. (The tablecloth still fit because we only extend the table when we have company.) I reckon even if you bought it specially it'd still be cheaper than those special mats you can get and you can also use it for when you do apinting and other mesy things at the table later on. Otherwise cheap old sheets from charity shops are good (that's what I used to use for visiting children) but I think something wipeable is better for everyday use.
Hmmm - one of my RL BLW friends said that she thought the wipeable cloths were really fiddly and messy. She recommended cheap tablecloths and sticking them in the washing machine...she sticks hers in with her nappies.
But I do like the idea of a cloth for painting etc - I use a heavy duty disposable cloth with DSS but he is quite adept at keeping the paint on the paper these days!!
