she is telling you porkies, they have to give you a pac code, call them back, check back in this thread there is all the infomation you need to quote to them.
it is quite an annoying though that so many of these call centre staff are blatently telling lies to people.0 -
i phoned back and she told me that there is a difference between getting a pac code, if u don't get your pac code you don't pay anything, if you get a pac code you pay for the next 30 days!0

its true
to port your number over they have to keep the account active
best idea is to drop down to payg and then port it over
then i think you will get a instant cancellation and can still port it over when your readyThere is a Money Saving Expert quidclan, next time your on quidco have a look for it0 -
but can i not just cancel my contract and leave orange all together...for example go out and get another contract tomorrow with another network?0

Am I missing something? Why is everyone leaving Orange?
For appx £35 per month I get 1200 cross network minutes, unlimited landline calls, unlimited calls to my 4 magic numbers that I use an awful lot, 500 text messages and free broadband, well almost free, I pay an extra £5/month and can call over a 100 countries land lines free, which again I use a lot.
Is this a good deal, can I get a better deal on another network, would love to save some money and get a new handset if poss, although last time I upgraded was December 08 and I got an HTC Touch HD which I flogged on ebay for over £350.
Am I missing something or is everyone off to get Iphones?
Thanks in anticipation.
