    Je....

Just been speaking to a fairly nice sounding lady. Though she tried to tell me, that I have not used the 08 numbers... Told her that it might affect me in the future, however, it doesnt matter, they do change the terms&condition. She refused to give me a months early upgrade or anything else and kept telling me, she cant do anything for me as I am not using that number...

    Pretty pi*** off!

Just called them again and pointed out I do call 0800/0845 numbers and they have agreed to cancel! Lady was a bit cheeky saying I was only cancelling to keep my free phone!

They told me it would take 30days to cancel if I use my PAC code? seems a bit long?
Your PAC code is valid for 30 days. If you use it and your number is transferred your Orange contract will end at that point. If you do not use it you will be deemed as accepting the new T&C (what I was told)
  • i was wondering rarther than canceling a contract can you have the amount you pay a month reduced? i was told that they can reduce the price you pay a month by £5

Anyone know how cancelling with mobiles.co.uk work?

I cant find anything in the 'Terms and Conditions' regarding this.

Does anyone know where I would get this information from?

Just spoke to someone in Billing regarding this and after getting a good - talked to like a human being response. The person I spoke to there now is a smile back on my face - quite franky the best conversation I've have had with a company on the phone :)

My views: General customer care +5. Billing +5. Cancellations -5.

So all told I'm a happy customer again :D (oh and I can cancel but trying to find out about cancelling with mobiles.co.uk first).
  • How Arrogant are they!

After being fobbed off by "retentions" team,

I have just received a text about how i am a valued customer and they value my feedback!

    Absolute total Joke!!!

Words can not describe how even more determined i am to get this contract cancelled!

What i dont get is how there can be such a difference of rules from one person to the next.

Nothing against the people who have gotten their contract cancelled, but we have so far gotten the following:-

1.) Cant cancel - no text
2.) Cant cancel - dont go over limit
3.) Cant cancel - dont call 0845 numbers

4.) Can cancel - you go over your limit
5.) Can cancel - you call 0845 numbers
6.) Can cancel because i decided today starts with the letter "T", despite the fact you dont really qualify.

Why is it not one rule for all - or should i say either you are affected (call 0845 #'s, go over limit), or you dont do the above so are not able to cancel!

    Absolute JOKE!!

I am in a bit of a dilemma. I have a Dolphin 25 websave 200 minutes 200 texts unlimited data and web at £10 a month. I don't think I could get a better deal anywhere else although I wouldn't mind getting out of the remaining 15 months on the contract and staying put on a rolling monthly contract, if they would allow me do that.

Has anyone else managed do something similar?
  • The top and tail of it all is - as set out in their own terms - if you don't agree to the new charges, by law you are able to cancel without penalty.

So why are they bringing anything else into it, it should be as black and white as that

they've downgraded my priceplan for me as i wasn't using 600 minutes a month, saving me £5 a month, and they will take £20 off my next bill

Hi masterPJ- on the mobiles.co.uk website look down the LHS for customer service and you will find terms and conditions. The only condition I can see is that thet would probably charge for any gift/cashback and cost of the mobile if cancelled within the 1st 9 months of the contract. If they haven't received their commission from the network they will claw it back from the customer!!!
