Sorry for your struggles Enlightenment. If you already had them removed in 2000, then i've no idea how they removed them again last year?! Definitely sounds like you were poorly informed and someone has made a mistake.
I don't know about the affect on your hormones and menstrual cycle after removal of both tubes, but although
it seems impossible if its on your mind that you might be pregnant then i would take a test ASAP just to clear that up. Normally if you have any of those symptoms and it's not down to pregnancy then it's because of a hormonal imbalance - which is really common. I used to go for many weeks and sometimes months without AF, as do so many people with PCOS. Either way i'd visit your GP to sort things out.0 -
Thanks myaccount08, well I guess the only way to find out is to do a test.0
-
Good luck, i hope you get things sorted soon, i know it's horrible not knowing what your own body is upto!0

Hi Enlightenment. Def. sounds like someone gave you some odd info - could it be that they removed one tube the 1st time and then the other the 2nd time? Anyhow, I am with myaccount - I would def. take a test ASAP and go the Dr's whatever the result of it is. Hope you get it sorted soon.
Myaccount - Good to hear from you and glad all is going well and you are getting the care you want. 36 weeks - WOW! You are getting so close to meeting your LO...do you know what 'flavour' you are expecting?
I love the idea of a waterbirth, and I know that they have a pool at the hospital, so I will have to find out more about it. I really want to get a look at the hospital facilities so I know what to expect - will have to ask the MW at my next appt how I go about arranging that. It's OK for DH - he worked on the electrics there when they were refurbishing a few years back, so he has seen it all!
Got a few bargains in maternity wear at the w/e - half-price mat jeans in Peacocks at £8 and a couple of tops (not maternity but Rogers & Rogers larger sizes in floaty styles) at half-price £8 each in Matalan. Also my mega-bargain was a dress/tunic style top in Debenhams (Red Herring label) at £7.50 instead of £25! I am really surprised tha mat jeans are soooo comfortable!
Peacocks also has 'tidy' black trousers at £12 a pair, not in the sale - thought about it but I don't really need to be that smart for work any more!, so I bought a pair of flared jersey ones for £10 instead which are really soft and comfortable. Am finding that being a size 18/20 before being PG does limit the mat clothes available (at reasonable prices anyhow) so was happy to get some bargains!
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Good bargains FE
I never did get any maternity jeans, i'm so tall that nowhere has any long enough for me! I've often sat uncomfy with the 'hairband over button' in a pair of trousers and wished i had a huge big stretchy panel to pull up over bump lol
Bump is a boy, we found out at 16 weeks, then saw the 'boy bits' again at 22 weeks and most recently at a growth scan at 35 weeks. The last scan was a woman doing her training and they aren't supposed to tell us in the hospital, so she really panicked when she accidently scanned right over his bits. She was abit shocked and said "there's no missing that!" lol
(moan alert) I've been feeling really nauseous and generally ill for the last week, it's like the first trimester all over again but combined with a bum jarred in my ribs and unable to sleep and breathe properly. I feel too sick to eat or move some days, yuck! The doctor has told me to sleep sitting up from now on because i've even been sick and choking in my sleep with the weight of the baby pushing on my stomach. Not sure how i'm going to manage another 4 weeks of this!
I'm just looking forward to getting the place cleaned up and getting in the pool for a trial run, i feel so heavy it'll be lovely to be weightless and mobile again! I definitely think it's worth a trip around your hospital to see how everything's laid out and find out their policies for various procedures. I've been really set on the homebirth, but i've been getting abit scared and feel like i ought to find out about the hospitals policies for intervention, just in case!0 -
Oh dear Myaccount - you poor thing - just when you really need to get your sleep too!
DH really doesn't want to know what we are having - but I was wondering how obvious it would be on later scans and whether we would be able to see for oursleves - obviously the anser may be yes!
I'm looking forward to the end of the 1st trimester myself - hoping for that 'burst of energy' that the books all go on about! I have lots of ideas about stuff that I need/want to do, but no energy to do them...by the time I get home from work I need to sleep for a couple of hours to get the energy to cook supper!
Well, my Afternoon Sickness has just started so just off to make a cup of ginger tea and hope that does the trick.
(((HUGS)))

We have our last scan tomorrow, so will let you know then! We've managed to avoid finding out up until now, but I suspect at 34 weeks it might be unmistakeable if she scans over that area and forgets to tell us in time to look away!0 -
Oooh a real flurry of posts...
Enlightenment - I echo what the others said, but let us know how you get on.
Myaccount - sorry your feeling rough again, must be yuck with the warm weather too
FE - Well done on the bargainsI did fancy waterbirth too, but after seeing the facilities at our chosen hospital on the DVD tour I'm kinda ebbing toward an active birth now.
Nicki - fingers crossed you don't accidentaly find out the flavour. We want to know mainly so we can think of names cos am so indecisive lol, but also OH has always said he wants to know so he can buy a few things hehe, bless.
Anyhoo we went and started our baby plan at the weekend, put on way more than planned but with the discounts we got was so worth it, and MIL and Mum offered to pay for some bits so really not costing us too much which is nice. I know its early but its not being delivered till mid feb and its something I really wont want to do when I'm bigger, becides its one less thing to worry about and now we can budgetNow just to get to see bubs on wed, cant wait

OOH Somnium - Good Luck for the scan tomorrow, hope you get a nice clear view and that LO behaves (unlike mine LOL!).
Anyone know how long it usually takes for the free prescription card thingy to come through? MW said she would send it off after our appt last Mon (10th), so wondered when I should start looking for it (our post is not very reliable and things do go astray). The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

Just to let everyone know, it was harder to see anything at the 33 week scan today than at the 20 week one, so we didn't accidentally find out the flavour, and I suspect for those who don't want to find out, there will be no difficulty in remaining in blissful ignorance.
Baby is big and breach, so will be making his or her appearance by planned c section in the week beginning 21 September, if not before!0
