I wondered why my post count had gone down!
Not that I'm bovered though :rolleyes:0 -
I don't see why people have to take themselves so seriously on here. It's meant to be just recreation (apart from the genuine money related boards of course).
If you go to work, no doubt there are people and processes that get on your nerves, decisions made that you feel are bonkers or counter productive, but you just have to put up with them.
Until Martin sets up a board of directors made up of selected posters, we have to accept that we have no rights as individuals to question anything. I honestly fear that we are heading for a situation where it all starts to seem too much like hard work for Martin and his team.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Maybe it would be much simpler for the abuse team if they ban the persistent complainers
It's the best site there is and I would hate to see things like DT closed. At the same time, I don't want to spend my evening taking part in debate only to find it gone the next day.
Bit like when I play Lord of the rings online. I play it for recreation but if every week I had spent an evening gaining new equipment and experience, then I logged in the next day to find it all gone, I would have felt like I had wasted an evening,Martin Lewis is always giving us advice on how to force companies to do things.
How about giving us advice on how to remove ourselves from any part of MoneySupermarket.com
I hereby withdraw any permission Martin might have implied he gave MoneySupermarket.com to use any of my data. Further more, I do not wish ANY data about me, or any of my posts etc to be held on any computer system held by MoneySupermarket.com or any business it has any commercial interests in.0 -

That had crossed my mind too! It would be a real shame if that happened!0 -
Its all very well pointing out no-one has here has any right etc etc, but where would this forum be without it's members?0

Do you mean 'without the 0.1% of members who cause any controversy whatsoever'? Fine, probably.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

It would be quiet - for about 5 mins until the next load of new members join up. Although I must point out that new members won't be of the same quality as those who joined some time ago. Apparently 2004 was the best year:D

I'm wading my way through them, and having already managed to read the article contained in the first link; bringing up the Icelandic bank situation again; that was never really down to Martin Lewis in the first place. He gave advice on the information he had, and people chose to follow it of their own free will. I also remember him being really upset by what had happened and hurt by the vitriol directed at him by some of the members here. Nonetheless, these are nothing to do with improving our community....
Martin is successful and that invites jealousy and antagonism. Not that he never makes mistakes. Of course he does, as does everyone else. Except he's not allowed to by some.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
If people are that bothered, why are they still here? I agree with you. I just think it's incredibly two-faced to come here and take from the site, and then have the gall to make such posts. And also rather sad (as in pathetic) to search for links to articles making the site owner look bad. Mind you, given his only post on this thread is this one, he clearly has nothing useful/constructive to add anyway.0
