I have been reading somewhere, that if its raining, you wont be able to do the swim. Cant remember when and where :o

Another question, just be sure: Any issues in regards to usual Credit Cards like Mastercard, Barclay etc? I should be able to use them, shouldnt I?

I think it is if there is a thunderstorm, rather than just rain.

You should be able to use your credit cards, always worth giving them a ring just to make sure

(Point of interest) Why might you not be able to do the swim if it is raining? Are you scared to get wet? You will be in water rain or shine!

I thought you being in Orlando you would know about the rain & pools!

Any water park does not allow you to swim or stand in the open without a lightening rod above your head as rain can quickly bring on a storm / lightning,,

Must have been an incident or strike in a pool in the past

You need to read Martin's guide on the main site about using plastic abroad as some will charge you heavily. The article is here

I got an email from WDW yesterday and their Saratosa Springs and Old Key West resorts are being offered at 56% discount, plus free dining plan, on travel from June 3rd onwards: http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/Special-Offers.asp?ID=14

Gift card offer for travel before end May
    http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/Special-Offers.asp?ID=21

    Dine for free

I have not looked al thought the site but these are the links, you can find the offers if you look around. 10% off your holiday price if you book by 19th Jan (not sure of that includes tickets) and also 3% quidco!!

Worth noting that Universal Studios have increased the price of their 7 day 2 park ticket by 25% overnight. Now sitting at $125. If your going to get Universal tickets I would suggest buying them through the usual agencies sooner rather than later as they still have them at the cheaper price.

Probably in the anticipation that Harry Potter World might actually open sometime before 2015!! They have said Spring 2010 (end of May) by email but someone told me that the banner in the park says 'Summer 2010' last month and that scaffolding is still up.

We have held off on booking as we want to visit HPW. I've told the kids October but a niggle in me says it will not be open by then. It was supposed to be October 2009.
  • I've booked for July and would value some opinions on water parks. We did Wet'n'Wild last time but were a bit disappointed. Any views on Blizzard Beach vs Typhoon Lagoon ?

Didn't do either last trip but I can definitely reccomend Aquatica, very nice park I thought and can be included in the Seaworld ticket.
  • I've just booked to go for the 2nd time to Orlando and we all can't wait to go .I've been searching for 14 day 5/6 park flex tickets as the kids are to big to go to Disney and the cheapest I've found are at Orlando Ticket Deals for £157 ea.Can anyone recommend a site thats cheaper please ?Thanks

    Would definetly reccomend Aquatica.
Went there last year and found it by far the best (and newest) of the waterparks.
Make sure you take flip flops or something similar as the concrete paths there can almost burn your feet in the blazing sun!

Ive found in all the visits we have done to Disney that they tend not to discount tickets to their parks as some of the other Orlando parks do so discounts are hard to come by.
We have always tended to us Travelrepublic on the web who have always given us good prices and reliable delivery.
    Trust this helps
