Maemaesmummy Oh wow the Shrek the Halls looks fab, am going to book. Is the rest just a place you walk around and see the ice sculptures etc? There looks like there is lots to do but not sure if you just wonder around and see it.
EDIT, just booked, so excited and I see you can make gingerbread men with Gingy Yeah0 -
Does anyone done the Disney Dining Plan for a family of 4?
Is value for money?
Or would be cheaper to pay as you go?
Cheers
Kris
I would avoid it personally. Why put yourself through the hassle of being tied to dinner reservations (which have to be made six months in advance in many cases)? Just pay as you go, the cost savings are quite small on the DDP versus paying to Disney restaurants in cash, and in any case the real savings are to be had by eating off-site.0 -
For anyone who is a space junkie....
Kennedy Space Center is allowing people inside the massive Vehicle Assembly Building (the one where they build the shuttles and prior to that the Saturn V rockets) as part of its tour programme. For a limited time you can also see them preparing the shuttles for their send off to their new museum homes. I wasn't planning to go back to KSC this year but have booked just to see this as its the first time they've given public access since the 1970s. You have to book the Up Close Tour as well as the admittance, so not cheap, but for space aficionados it's a must do.

hi guys
we have not long got back from our 1st trip and have major Disney blues :-( but we are planning another, it will be June 2013 for a wedding of some very good friends. Last time we stayed on idrive in an appartment myself dh, ds1 (6) and ds2 (1) next time my mum will be staying with us. I really want to stay at Disney next time as we spent most of our time there anyway and will get the free dining plan and free parking etc. But I am really struggling to find which hotels sleep 5 people, different sites say different things. I really want a moderate/deluxe hotel but don't want to feel like sardines.... And don't want to pay silly prices (is this possible?)
any ideas I'm bored of flicking through brochures now ;-)0 -
Having been back for 2 weeks I am still getting over 'Disney Depression'! What an amazing holiday and what a learning curve - so many things you pick up on while there. I can't wait to return (although next years holiday is already booked for Corfu) and it will be nice to be able to join in and maybe answer some questions on the forum!
Many thanks to all who helped and answered my questions - you all helped to make a fantastic holiday!
Blue Monkey - chuck me a PM with your address (or an e-mail as you have my addy) and I will post those vouchers - I hope I got the ones you were after. I also have a code on the end of my Nike receipt where if you fill in the survey online they will e-mail you a $5 voucher to use.0 -
Hey guys,
Just a couple of regular questions which I would appreciate your help?
Me and my OH are planning two weeks in Florida, Sept 2012, with the main emphasis on the parks and the thrill rides. We don't know whether hiring a car will carry much benefit as I imagine the shuttle will support us in most cases. Ideally, we would like an apartment with fridge so we can store cold drinks and we've found places on the i-drive south at about £500 for the two weeks.
I also need to know if we can fly out on any day other than Saturday, and when is the best time to book. We like flying with Virgin but are flexible.
Oh, and cheers for the heads up on the Fair Fx card :T0 -

Yes in Ice, you get to walk round the exhibit.. you get some thick coats to put on..make sure you have socks and proper shoes..make me feel cold just watching people in there with flip flops lol..there are some ice slides also which are cool..you also get a voucher for a free hot chocolate which is yummy for when you come out. There is also Father Christmas to see for the kiddies.
The sculping is amazing they have a team of artisans that come every year to do it..quite sad we aren't planning on doing it this year...Bit of a Florida Fan :j

We have booked to go in June and are staying at the Floridays resort which has 3 lots of 2 double bed bedrooms. Looks fine we have 6 adults and 3 children staying there0 -
Hi we are 9 people going in June next year and have booked tickets already for Universal, Seaworld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens, but my mum and dad want to go to Epcot and maybe Hollywood Studios.
Has anyone any idea where the best place is to buy 2 days tickets.
Thanks0 -

In my opinion the best forum for Disney questions is https://www.thedibb.co.ukVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0
