We have booked to go in June and are staying at the Floridays resort which has 3 lots of 2 double bed bedrooms. Looks fine we have 6 adults and 3 children staying there

that's actually where we stayed in October haha. It is fantastic there we loved it, tones of space, great location and loved having a full kitchen :-)

we want to stay in a Disney hotel though next time so we get all the extra perks but most of them only sleep 4 there

Thanks at last someone i can ask questions about it. Did it have wi fi, we have 2 adults in one room, 2 adults and 1 child in another and 2 adults and 2 children in the 3rd. Do you think it will be a bit cramped.
What is the patio like and are we better asking for rooms near the bus stop or if we stay furhter away will we see the fireworks from Disney.
Sorry to be a pain but you know what its like

yes you have wi-fi we used it most days and the connection was good, we had a 2 bedroom suite with 2 adults and 2 kids and there was loads of space. The bed in the main br is huge I loved it, and in the double br the beds could easily sleep 2 adults. The sofa in the lounge also turns into a bed if that helps spread people out.
we were in block b which was right next to the pool which was fab but our patio faced a lake which was beautiful and away from the noise I would deff ask for this block it was perfect and 1 of the closest to the entrance for busses. We never saw or heard any fireworks from there.
our patio was quite small only had a small table and 2 chairs

any more questions just ask I'm more than happy to help :-)

    Hey guys,

Just a couple of regular questions which I would appreciate your help?

Me and my OH are planning two weeks in Florida, Sept 2012, with the main emphasis on the parks and the thrill rides. We don't know whether hiring a car will carry much benefit as I imagine the shuttle will support us in most cases.

Which shuttle? Have you checked the schedule?

I would not even consider going to the US for 2 weeks without a car.

No way, never. Car rental is cheap, petrol is cheap, parking spaces are enormous, why would you not?
I also need to know if we can fly out on any day other than Saturday, and when is the best time to book. We like flying with Virgin but are flexible.

Best time to book is when you can get a cheap fare (under £400).

BA have a £378 fare to Orlando, which is cheap, but only until March. Clearly booking now for September is too early.

    http://www.britishairways.com/travel/low-price-finder/public/en_gb?link=main_nav

    Virgin/BA should fly every day.

Hi we are 9 people going in June next year and have booked tickets already for Universal, Seaworld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens, but my mum and dad want to go to Epcot and maybe Hollywood Studios.
Has anyone any idea where the best place is to buy 2 days tickets.
    Thanks

You cannot get cheap Disney tickets. There are just slightly varying variations on expensive. A 2 day ticket costs basically double a 1-day. Savings start around the 4 day mark.

If you want a 1 or 2-day ticket you might as well just buy on the gate, $90/day/person.... SInce you hold Universal & Busch group tickets I'd stick with one day at Epcot unless you don't mind forking out another $800 for the 9 of you to get into Hollywood Studios.
  • Hi people.

Me and my boyfriend are goin on or around the 3rd of January 2012.

The best deal I can find so far is flying from Edinburgh, 2 weeks, hotel, B+B, on i-drive for £505. (flying from an english airport only saves about £20 so not worth it!)

The prices are going up as the weeks go on - this deal was previously £476!!!!

Should i book now or hold off and see if they go down, after all, prices are supposed to decrease the closer it gets?

    Thanks
    Sami

Have a look here which will give you links to both 2011 and 2012 Dining Plans. However, it's worth noting that the 2012 participating restaurants may not all be included yet - may be worth checking the 2011 brochure as the 2012 one probably won't be finalised until next month. From memory, we used the 2009 list when planning our reservations for 2010, and there was only one or two changes.

With regard to a Wishes Dining Experience, there is only the Wishes Dessert Party which I don't think can be paid for with DDP credits. However, note that if you have booked your accommodation/ticket package with Disney, you should have the opportunity to book preferred viewing for both Wishes in MK and Illuminations at EPCOT free of charge (should be listed on your confirmation as
    PREF VIEWING MK)
    .

The viewing area at MK is in front of the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant where the Dessert Party is held and is right in front of the castle. We booked it in 2010 when we were at Disney, but the EPCOT preferred viewing had been filled up when we tried to book a few days in advance.

Does anyone done the Disney Dining Plan for a family of 4?
    Is value for money?
Or would be cheaper to pay as you go?

Depending when you are planning on going, Disney UK have extended their free dining offer to end November for bookings for 1 January - 26 February, 1 May - 18 November 2012.

If you book a moderate resort you get the Quick Service Dining Plan, but if you book Old Key West or Saratoga Springs Resort, you get the Disney Dining Plan (the one with a Table Service meal) for relatively little more cost (around £200 per room), although as noted above, with DDP you would probably have to make reservations in advance and have to factor in the cost of tips.

    HTH.

That sounds like a marvellouse price and I disagree that prices go down the closer it gets, that normally happens with places like Ejypt when they have spare seats and hotels but I dont think Disney is like that. But do delete the cookies on your computer and search again. Normally the further in advance you book the better.
