  • Hi there folks new to the forums
We are off to Florida with Virgin on the 29th Nov for a fortnight and we are staying in a villa, not got details of where yet tho. The OH has been nagging me to have the pool heated but at £300 for the fortnight and me being Scottish i'm a bit loath to paying it, have any of you been at this time of year and if so is the weather a lot cooler then, just wondering if its worth spending the extra money. Just hope the weathers better than the last time we went 3 years ago it did nothing but rain for 10 days, but suppose we should be used to that.
Where is this Mannys you are talking about didn't see this last time we were there
    Thanks

The pool will be useless without heating at this time of year  Mannys is quite a way down the 27 just past Calabay Parc at Tower Lake and Southern Dunes.

I have been trawling through these pages for several days now. We are planning to go next year to WDW - hubby and I went for our honeymoon and we were happy just taking each day as it comes and doing what we wanted but we will be taking out 6 year old dd hopefully next nov/dec time and feel it needs more planning. We are hoping to get the 14 day disney pass, I dont think there will be much as univeral to amuse her. Are there lots of advantages to staying at the WDW resort? I dont mind paying if its worth it. We stayed on Idrive before which was fine but thinking may be easier with a 6y/o to stay at resort? Obviously will take a few days out for shopping, seaworld etc.....

Don't discount US and IOA...my 5 and 6 year old love it..they are tall enough for most of the rides in both and it's a great day out. :D
And they love meeting Scooby, Sponge Bob, Diego and Dora, Cat in the Hat etc :)

  • For the same money you could get a 2 day dolphin trip to the Florida Keys with food, accomodation and a couple of additional trips and the dolphin interaction - have a look on Expedia - for even less money you can go for the dat trip including airboat ride and manatee swim - again on expedia.
Happy Birthday BTW - did you have a nice time (only just caught up, been away for a few days). :)

Love the sound of this, you say expedia but I couldn't find anything to with Dolphins and that is what we want.

Who are you travelling with? Only last week I was looking at the Virgin holidays trips and they offer a 2 day one. It was more or less the same as one of these: http://www.floridadolphintours.co.uk/dolphingetaway.htm

Pick up points if you are not driving: http://www.floridadolphintours.co.uk/pickup.htm

Not done it myself, but friends raved about this one. They just drove down and picked up a lovely condo on Duck Key for a couple of nights at a very reasonable price.

Looks like the pool it is then, thanks for the replys.

Got my Disney tickets last night, went for the 14 day ultimates, and just ordered my money on a Fairfx money card recommended thru the MSE website, anybody used one of these before and if so can you use them in most places?
