Thanks for all of the advice - you have helped to make this a fantastic holiday. My birthday was amazing - splashed by shamu, fed the stingrays and dolphins and rode the roller coasters at Seaworld, birthdays don't really get much better.

We have decided to knock Discovery Cove on the head just felt it would not live up to the hype, my son (7) was more than happy feeding the stingrays at SW.

Another question though, shopping advice - where do people recommend? I am after sunglasses and my partner is after Ugg boots. Found the Prime outlets (although the signs on the buildings have them as Premium Outlets - very confusing)?

Please forgive any spelling mistakes or crap grammar - is tough posting on mobile!

I am glad you had such a lovely time. it is an amazing place, isn't it.

Prime is now Premium Outlets (some people still call it Prime though as there are now 2 Premium Outlets). One is at the top of ID and the other is at the bottom. If you are looking for Ugg boots, go to the one at the top - Universal end of ID - this is the one that used to be called Prime, do not bother with Festival Bay as it was empty when we went and a waste of a few hours. I went looking for Uggs too but they were cheaper at home for me as I only wear kids sizes so I did not bother. You'll get glasses there too.

Don't forget to get your Disney Birthday badge even though it is not your actual birthday. You may even get a special cupcake if you have ADR at a Disney restaurant. :D You've got to eek it out a bit, LOL, my daughters 'birthday' went on for an entire week from the actual day until the day we left.

Have a wonderful time, look forward to hearing more when you get back.

PS. Can I ask a huge favour, please would you be able to pick me up some of those special offer booklets you find everywhere with vouchers on and I'll send you an SAE when you get back - don't go out of your way, but if you are passing - anything that will get me discount. Thank you if you can. x

Well, my son has tonsillitis so after a visit to the doctor ($293) he wasn't well enough for any parks so we did a little shopping. Went to Florida mall and visited the Abercrombie store where we bought some kids stuff and were given a 30% discount card for any A + F store. OH didn't see much she wanted so went to Millenia Mall and hit A + F. I got loads, she didn't!!!!! She did get her Ugg boots so was happy, couldn't hang around as my DS was really not well. Great trip though and we will be going to Prime as my DS wants some reebok zig trainers. There is an Ugg outlet at prime but I didn't think it was really cheap. I have priced up some sunnies (Oakley) and I can get the cheaper in the UK. I think you have to be careful shopping as it is certainly not as cheap as you first think.

We've always been at Easter as I know I couldn't stand the humidity in the summer. It will be busy whether you go in the summer or Easter hols. The trick is to plan it properly and get to the parks before opening - you can do more in the first 2-3 hours than the rest of the day.

Just looking through the accommodation options for our holiday next April and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what area is best? We are hiring a villa but wasn't really sure of which area to go for! There's too much choice and when you spend that much you don't want to mess it up with a bad decision! So should it be Davenport or Kissimmee?

Still having a fab time!!! My son is OK - just runs out of energy pretty quick so left AK pretty early. Stopped off at the outlets on the way back as he really wanted some new trainers - the problem was the Nike outlet was so cheap I ended up buying more stuff!!! I have some discount booklets for you as well - PM me your address and I will send them when I get back (don't worry about SAE).

Thanks for the update, glad your DS is on the mend, I think that happens sometimes when they are so tired, they end up getting sick.

LOL at the cheapness, I do know what you mean though.

Thank you, you are a diamond, I'll speak to you when you get back and have got over the holiday. Enjoy the rest of your time there.
