Thanks Chickpea.
It's worse when a friend tells me she's pregnant; it's like I've been kicked in the stomach. I am ashamed to say I do get very jealous. So when the tell me they are pregnant I tell them I am happy for them, I used to be... I don't tell my friends about our situation as I don't want their pitty or their suggestions!
A few months ago I decided to take my nieces to a play center as part of their Christmas present. I really don't know if I can face it now.
I am searching for fertility and endometriosis. I've still not found the miracle answer I'm looking for. I did start crying again when I read women with endo have a higher rate of MC. So it's harder for us to get pregnant; then there's a higher rate of MC. Great.
Sorry about the rant. I needed to get it out.
Good luck over Xmas and with SIL. I would try to keep out of her way.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Evening all
I can usually accept and be happy for people getting pg - doesn't stop me wishing for me though..
4 days into 2ww. It's a drag. Out for a drink or two after work - probably just one. Party invite on sat - think I will offer to drive.
Not sure whether it makes any difference but I am trying to limit my alcohol intake. I had a cousin who was told she couldn't get pg, had IVF and various other fertility treatment then split with her partner. She was a party girl - regularly very drunk. After a period of feeling ill & losing weight she went to GP and turned out to be 6 or 7 months pg! She had conceived whilst in a very short term relationship. The baby was born healthy. I'm not endorsing getting hammered whilst pg BTW!
I'm not usually a POASer- but might on 25th. In not optimistic so wont be (too) disappointed. I'll be 11DPO then & I have some ICs which came with OPKs.0 -
runner Congratulations!!! Brilliant brilliant news xxWhen people show you who they are, believe them the first time0

Hugs Peonie, these situations aren't easy. I am generally happy for people I like to be pregnant, but get a bit grrrrrrrr when I don't like them as much-there must be some logic in that somewhere! I work with young people and families which can be really difficult as it involves a lot of child protection and families who really don't want the children they have-it can be really draining.
We were back at FS yesterday-well the nurse consultant-and it is all go for starting the flare protocol for ICSI next cycle. I think today will be CD1, so looking at getting started in the middle of Jan, I feel very lucky to have regular cycles of 26ish days so don't have to wait too long. I was really weepy last night, I found the appointment and all the info a bit overwhelming and a bit scary, but I'm sure I'll get over that.
Hope everyone is good x0 -
Hello,
I wonder if you ladies could help me as I really don't want to go to Dr Google and get scared to death!
Have been TTC #2 for 15 months. #1 was caught on the first cycle of coming off the pill with my ex, so was half expecting to catch on straight away againI am 31 btw, not 21. This is just my user name I have had since I was 21.
I had a mmc with partial molar pregnancy 7 months ago.
My periods just haven't settled down since coming off the pill, both before and after the miscarriage. I have cycles between 30-48 days.
I took myself off for blood tests this month to see why I am getting irregular cycles (PCOS etc). Baseline hormones and in fact all of the CD1 bloods came back normal.
I had a CD19 test - progesterone less than 1. CD26 test - progesterone 22. Have to go for a CD33 test on friday, as they said progesterone levels have to be over 30 to confirm ovulation. But I am sure I ovulated on CD23. So I don't get it?!
Heres my chart: Abis21* And I've never had such positive OPKs as this month. I was really proud of themThought my body was behaving and working properly for a change
I thought the results would come back fine and expected not to have to retest.
Are levels of 22 no good? I really don't want to googleI know I will scare myself.
My doc is away til next week so I can't discuss it with her, it was the receptionist who gave me the results over the phone.
Thank you in advance xMarried my lobster in July 2011

hey abis - I don't know anything about prog. levels but I'm sure someone that knows what they're talking about will be along soon x.
I have a questions too please. I have yet another uti - I think this is at least 5 in the past year now. It's been here since sunday and I've tried to flush it out with lots of water, tried bicarb etc. It's just getting worse and I think I'm going to have to try and get a GP appt (although with my GP that will be practically impossible this time of year). I'm CD15 and although ov is highly irregular, it tends to be somewhere between CD22 and CD34. Is taking antibiotics now a no-no? This is my last clomid cycle before ICSI so I really don't want to waste this cycle.
One of the uti's developed into a kidney infection last year and I'm really scared of it happening again.
Seriously fed up with these now.
ETA: oh, and speaking of friends pg announcements, I had to block a friend on fb last night. She's about 6 months pg and all she's done for the last 3 months is post about how she's bored, how she wants to drink, etc. Final straw was last night when she posted asking how soon after giving birth you can leave a baby for the night as she really wanted to go to a gig. I was v tempted to reply and say if you're that un-interested, just give me the baby.0 -
Sorry abis I have no experience in prog levels but I am sure someone will come along with some knowledge.
TL - don't blame you blocking your FB friend what an outragous thing to say. People just don't understand.
Peonie - sometimes its good to talk to friends. My close 4 friends were really understanding and helpful, they didn't give me pity or suggestions just there for me when I needed it. The would get also get upset and cry with me. It was hard they all have children but I think that makes them understand the need for it more.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0 -
Now UTIs I can maybe help with
Have had lots of them cos I have wonky tubing between my kidney and bladder.
Drinking plenty, and drinking cranberry juice is always my first steps. Cranberry juice is meant to help neutralise the wee I think and reduce the stinging. I normally give that about 24 hours to work after the first signs of infection and then get a docs appt. A nurse practitioner will be able to prescribe as well, or even an appt with a nurse will do as they will dip test your urine and then get a prescription arranged for you.
Antibiotics can be prescribed for 3, 5 or 7 days. They are usually quite high strength ones I think for UTIs, so defo speak to your doc/nurse and tell them you are TTC.
Don't ignore it tho - if you are flushing your system out already, chances are its not going to go away on its ownMarried my lobster in July 2011

There are loads of antibiotics which are completely safe to take during pregnancy, so just tell the doctor you are in the middle of fertility treatment and just prior to ovulation and don't want to take anything which would jeopardise an early pregnancy and he will prescribe the right thing.
Women at the end of their pregnancies who have the strep bug are routinely prescribed a hefty dose of prophylactic antibiotics for the benefit of the baby during delivery, so they are definitely sometimes used in pregnancy. And serious illness, like a bad UTI or a kidney infection can often cause women to have an anovulatory cycle, so better to treat than not treat if you want to maximise the chances of ovulating this month.0 -
Thank you both - knew I'd come to the right place x.
Called my GPs this morning and can't get an appt till after christmas (they are beyond useless) so looks like that isn't an option. I'll see how it goes over the next day or so and might end up down the walk in place at the hospital again. Had to go there last time as couldn't get a GP appt for over 3 weeks and it just kept getting worse.
Apologies in advance - this may really be tmi. Had a panic a while ago as when I went to the toilet there was some blood. I'm nowhere near AF and have never had mid-cycle bleeding before. It wasn't red, more like the brown spotting you sometimes get at the start/end of AF. This was just after I'd had a wee and omg it hurt. I take it that's not normal?!It's not a burning pain, more like a sort of stabbing. Then afterwards it feels like I've been kicked.
